Dingen om te doen in Waikato

De tour was goed georganiseerd, informatief en van begin tot eind plezierig. Het was fascinerend om meer te leren over de geschiedenis en de details achter de schermen van de set. Het landschap was adembenemend en er waren volop mogelijkheden om memorabele foto's te maken. Het comfortabele luxe busje maakte de reis ontspannend en aangenaam, waardoor we achterover konden leunen en onderweg van het prachtige landschap konden genieten.

Heerlijke tour die ons genoeg tijd gaf om te verkennen en we waren zelfs vroeg terug in Auckland. Onze chauffeur en gids maakten de reis zoveel leuker en gaven onderweg interessante inzichten, we komen zeker nog eens terug met de familie!

Als de app meer dan 5 sterren zou bieden, dan was dit zeker een solide 10-sterrenervaring. Onze gids, Alessandro, had de humor, scherpzinnigheid en aanwezigheid die de hele reis zeer memorabel maakten – hij was erg grappig en deskundig, de 2 uur durende reis van en naar Hobbiton was een totaal andere ervaring. Onze familie heeft al zoveel reisgidsen meegemaakt, en Alessandro van Cheeky Kiwi is veruit de allerbeste! Wat een ervaring van je leven.

This was such a cool place!!! It was so much fun to learn about filming in the place where it all happened!

The guide was very humorous and witty, and their photography skills were also quite good. I initially thought it would be tiring, but it wasn't at all. Inside, you can see not only fireflies but also many stalactites. I highly recommend checking it out. We drove ourselves there, and the location wasn't hard to find.

【I can definitely give this 5 stars】I highly recommend this tour. However, be prepared for a long drive. It takes about two to two and a half hours to reach the Cathedral Cove parking area, and then another 30-minute walk to get down to Cathedral Cove itself. The 30-minute walk there is fine, but the return trip is quite tiring. You'll spend about one to two hours at the beach. You can check the water temperature and weather to decide if you want to go for a swim; I recommend it. Second, Hot Water Beach is a lot of fun! Everyone digs in the sand with tools to create their own hot spring pools, and the water is genuinely hot—it's very interesting! Third, the tour guide will share fascinating stories and information about New Zealand's plants and trees throughout the journey. Fourth, there are no Chinese-speaking services here. If your English listening and speaking skills aren't strong, you should prepare a translation app. If your English isn't good, you'll miss out on a lot of the fun.

Geweldige reis. Grant, onze gids van Cheeky Kiwi Tours, was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. James van Hobbiton gaf uitstekend commentaar. We moesten kiezen tussen Te Puia en Waitomo. Beide konden niet gedaan worden. Tirau was niet inbegrepen in de reis.

I really enjoyed my visit, especially our tour guide, Dave from Cheeky Travel. He made the tour so much fun and made sure to explain everything we were seeing along the way. His knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. Rotorua is truly a must-visit destination—I absolutely loved my time here and can't wait to come back!
