Ik vond de Hobbiton Movie Set Tour helemaal geweldig — het voelde echt alsof ik Midden-aarde binnenstapte! Het landschap was adembenemend, de gidsen waren deskundig en onderhoudend, en elk klein detail van de set was prachtig bewaard gebleven. De verhalen achter de filmlocaties maakten het nog specialer. De busrit vanaf The Shire's Rest was soepel en goed georganiseerd, en het gratis drankje in The Green Dragon Inn was zo'n perfecte afsluiting van de tour. Sterk aanbevolen voor zowel fans van The Lord of the Rings en The Hobbit, als voor iedereen die van natuur en verhalen vertellen houdt. Zeker de moeite waard — een must-do in Nieuw-Zeeland! 💚

Deze reis naar de Hobbiton filmset en Rotatua is geweldig! Ik ben zelf geen fan van Ring of Lords, maar ik heb toch genoten van elk stukje van de tour en alle details die werden uitgelegd. Ik kan niet wachten om Ring of Lords te kijken als ik de kans krijg. Het Te Puia wonderland is ook leuk en mooi!

Jeoffery our bus captain and guide was a lovely and knowledgeable man who made sure to make everyone comfortable and safe for the entire trip. His humor kept us entertained throughout the trip and made it a really pleasant experience. The rest of the guides at Hobbiton, Rotorua were fantastic, knowledgeable. Kudos to Cheeky Kiwi for making this a really memorable trip for us.

We had an amazing Hobbiton & Rotorua (Te Puia) tour! Our guide, Jeoff, was punctual, very informative, and shared interesting stories along the way. As a LOTR fan, visiting Hobbiton was a dream come true—it involved a lot of walking but was incredibly exciting. The Te Puia tour was also enjoyable and educational. We loved seeing the geothermal valley and spotting the kiwis—it was a real treat! Our van was comfortable, and Jeoff drove safely throughout the tour. The only downside was that there was no proper lunch break. While we stopped by a café at the start, it would have been helpful to be advised to buy a sandwich or snack for later, as the time at Te Puia wasn’t enough to order and eat at the restaurant. Thankfully, we had light snacks like cheese and crackers, but a proper lunch would have made the day even better. Overall, a fantastic experience with a knowledgeable guide and well-organized tour!

This is s must-see and must experience tour. Full pack of exciting tour, sceneries within a day.

Ik nam mijn partner mee naar Hobbiton voor onze trouwdag en het was een geweldige ervaring. Je hebt een privégids zodra je in de bus stapt die naar de set gaat en je mag naar binnen in het huis van Baggins. Ook 1 gratis drankje in de Green Dragon Inn na de tour. We hebben deze combo gekozen omdat ik graag een culturele dans wilde zien (extra kosten) en na de show heb je een privégids die je rondleidt. Ik raad aan om na het zien van de grootste geiser de lange weg terug te lopen. Je vindt er een verborgen juweeltje. Het was een reis van 10 uur, maar je zult je niet vervelen als je teruggaat naar het busje, want Liam heeft interactie met iedereen, er is water in flessen als je dorst hebt, hij heeft proteïnerepen en chips om te snacken. Hij heeft ook een service stop gedaan toen we dat vroegen. Als iemand die in het toerisme werkt en hetzelfde werk doet als hij, is zijn service 10/10. Hij raadde zelfs een diner aan voor mij en mijn partner en bracht ons zelfs naar het restaurant! Dus bedankt Liam 🫶🏻

Full guided tour, my tour booked was unfortunately cancelled as the staff were down with covid. But fear not. They make a quick arrangement before I even know it. My trip was merge with another local tour. And they did a splendid job. Both parties worth a compliment as they work closely together to make the trip happen. In this trip doesn’t includes lunch. The arranged tour that replace this gave me an option if I would like to add on $35pp to join the rest for lunch in Te Puia , glad I joined. It’s a buffet with dessert -perfect steam cake. -The trip comes with to and back from cdb pick up from Auckland. -the driver is constantly telling stories along the way to Hobitton -must see te puia and discover their local Mari that holds their homeland and serves us to see and discover their culture

Cheeky kiwi travels' Michael brought us to the places, on the bus he'll explain and introduce about the different spots. I went for the Te Pua tour, and others went to another tour. At each destination there were other tour guides provided for us.
