I went with friends to Wushih Harbor to take a boat to Guishan Island, and we saw long-beaked spinner dolphins! We were so lucky and happy 🐬 The captain said dolphins have the intelligence of a 6-year-old child and enjoy interacting, so they understand when you clap and cheer! It was so much fun! History ➡️ Residents settled on the island during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty, primarily making a living through fishing. The population once reached 700 people. In 1977, due to military needs, residents were forcibly relocated, and the island was closed. The residents moved to Renzhe New Village in Toucheng. In 2000, the island officially opened to tourism.

This was my first time booking a Klook tour, and the day before, they thoughtfully sent a text message with the meeting time and location (including photos), which was a huge plus! I was curious about the Guishan Island itinerary since I hadn't been there before. To my surprise, there were quite a lot of people participating in the 401 Highland climb that day. Our guide, Mr. Dong, also climbed the entire 401 Highland with us, truly the hardest-working guide in Taiwan. In the morning, after a brief introduction upon arriving at the island, we immediately started climbing the 401 Highland. The weather that day was hot and humid, and I was almost exhausted by the time we descended. In the afternoon, we circled Guishan Island, and the onboard commentator explained everything very diligently. We returned around 3 PM.

From the Line customer service, the friendly guy at the check-in counter, to the big brothers working on the boat, everyone made me feel so warm and cozy! Here, I saw Taiwan's most beautiful scenery: "strong human touch." Even traveling alone, I wasn't afraid of not being taken care of. Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience, and thanks to the staff for sharing their knowledge. Next time, I'll remember to get enough sleep + take motion sickness medicine, LOL. Although the waves were too big to land on the island today, I saw many adorable and friendly dolphins, the beautiful Yin-Yang Sea, and the Milk Sea. The explanations were also very clear and interesting. Next time, I want to go to 401! It was my first time seeing Guishan Island and dolphins up close, and I was deeply moved. Thank you, Mother Nature, for all the beauty. I hope everyone will cherish it together~ The park around the harbor and Sunrise Beach are also very beautiful and worth visiting!

This tour is an interesting adventure into the laidback city of Yilan, covering a varied spread of different attractions! I really enjoyed my time even though I was travelling alone, and would recommend it to anyone who would like to do something less tourist-y. A special shout-out to Peter who was a very knowledgeable local guide that planned out our itinerary meticulously and shared key recommendations at every attraction. he took good care of the group and made the effort to keep us updated at various points of the journey. it was a pleasure to join his tour and would definitely recommend his tour to others in future!

Visiting the Lanyang Museum gave me a deeper understanding of Yilan's natural environment and cultural history. The museum's exterior is famous for its sloping triangular design, inspired by Yilan's common "single-sided mountain" terrain. The building itself is like a work of art, blending seamlessly with the surrounding wetland landscape, leaving a deep impression upon arrival. The museum's exhibits are rich and diverse, offering detailed introductions to everything from Yilan's geological evolution and climatic characteristics to the lifestyles of its early inhabitants. For example, through models and multimedia displays, visitors can learn about the formation process of the Lanyang Plain and how the local people developed unique lifestyles in response to the northeast monsoon and rainy climate. These exhibits are not only informative but also highly interactive, making the visit engaging. I particularly enjoyed the sections that showcase traditional industries and culture, such as fishing, agriculture, and local beliefs. These exhibits convey Yilan's profound human touch and cultural heritage. Through real object displays and recreated scenarios, it felt as if I could see the daily lives of past residents, making history more than just words in a book. Overall, the Lanyang Museum is not just a place to gain knowledge; it's also a space where one can slow down and appreciate the beauty of architecture and nature. This visit allowed me to learn more about Yilan and to cherish Taiwan's diverse and rich local culture even more. If I have the chance, I will recommend this museum to friends and family, so they can experience this educational and aesthetically pleasing museum for themselves.

Bringing the kids for their first shrimp fishing experience was so much fun! We had barely sat down when we caught a really big, lively shrimp! The bait was dried shrimp, which was a bit hard to hook. The shrimp were quite easy to catch; we rented two rods for 70 minutes and each caught 12 shrimp. The kids felt a great sense of accomplishment! Some shrimp might pinch, but gloves are provided nearby. Staff are available to assist with any questions. Shrimp crackers and drinks are available on-site, included with Klook ticket purchases. There's also a shrimp fishing competition where the first few people to catch a shrimp during the same time can claim a shrimp cracker. After fishing and weighing, you can take your bucket of shrimp to the self-service grilling area across the way or have them cooked by staff. It's truly delicious and enjoyable!

My tour guide Gabe is the best. I've been with Klook for over 30 years, and he is very knowledgeable, passionate, friendly, and polite. I did leave him a good tip.

This trip was very enjoyable, and we especially want to thank our tour guide, Ms. Lin Su-chen. The night before departure, she proactively contacted us to confirm the itinerary and thoughtfully reminded us of important details, which made us feel very reassured. During the trip, not only was her driving skill steady, making us feel very safe, but she also showed great flexibility. She always happily accommodated our last-minute requests for minor itinerary adjustments. Along the way, Su-chen not only provided detailed tour information but also shared many vivid and interesting local stories, and gave us excellent travel advice. We sincerely recommend this professional and friendly tour guide, who greatly enhanced our journey!
