The Guishan Island dolphin watching trip was an unforgettable experience. The crew was incredibly accommodating, making sure everyone felt comfortable and had a clear view throughout the ride. Their knowledge and friendly guidance added to the enjoyment, and we were lucky enough to see large groups of dolphins swimming and playing near the boat. Watching so many dolphins up close in their natural habitat made the tour both exciting and memorable.
Guishan Island is an absolute gem, and this tour made the experience unforgettable. From the moment we set off, the scenic views of the coastline were stunning. Once we arrived, the unique volcanic landscape of the island and its famous turtle-shaped silhouette were awe-inspiring. The knowledgeable guide shared fascinating stories about the island's history, ecology, and cultural significance, adding a special touch to the journey.
This was a beautiful, once-in-a-lifetime experience! From the ferry counter staff to the sailors on board and the hiking guides, everyone was incredibly kind and friendly! The Blue Whale boat had new equipment, and the life jackets were all clean. Before landing on the island, we first circled it, allowing us to see the Milk Sea and the surrounding scenery of Guishan Island. The commentary on the boat was also wonderful and interesting! There's no need to worry about rushing during the hike, as there's a lead guide and a trailing assistant. Each guide constantly monitors the physical and mental condition of every hiker, never forcing anyone to reach the summit, and patiently waits for those who fall behind, offering encouragement. After descending, there's at least a 1-1.5 hour island-wide walking tour, leading us to understand Guishan Island's development history, military history, and mythical legends. The guide was lively and spoke positively and enthusiastically, leaving a great impression. My family was very satisfied with this trip; reaching the 401-meter peak was truly worthwhile and wonderful!
This was my first time booking a Klook tour, and the day before, they thoughtfully sent a text message with the meeting time and location (including photos), which was a huge plus! I was curious about the Guishan Island itinerary since I hadn't been there before. To my surprise, there were quite a lot of people participating in the 401 Highland climb that day. Our guide, Mr. Dong, also climbed the entire 401 Highland with us, truly the hardest-working guide in Taiwan. In the morning, after a brief introduction upon arriving at the island, we immediately started climbing the 401 Highland. The weather that day was hot and humid, and I was almost exhausted by the time we descended. In the afternoon, we circled Guishan Island, and the onboard commentator explained everything very diligently. We returned around 3 PM.
Lucky enough to see two different species of dolphins! The front of the boat is a great spot, but remember to bring a change of clothes. Due to the northeast monsoon, the seawater splashes your face like at an amusement park. Don't forget to bring sunglasses, a hat, and apply sunscreen! Guishan Island offers a chance to learn about history, combining education with entertainment, and the scenery is beautiful. However, it can be hot, so if you're sensitive to heat, remember to bring a small fan.
On September 13, 2025, we took the Wushi Legend Polaris One out to sea to see Guishan Island and dolphins. The captain's explanations were detailed, the weather was beautiful and sunny, and there was a gentle sea breeze. Besides seeing the entire Guishan Island, we also smelled the island's unique sulfur scent. We were also incredibly lucky to see a whole family of dolphins, making for a very complete experience. It was truly a worthwhile trip, and I would definitely participate again if I have the chance. Thumbs up!
It was a rare experience. The young tour guide's explanations were interesting and exciting, and we went to the island to see its past glory. However, the waves were high that day, and then we went looking for whales and dolphins. Due to the rough seas, it was difficult to dock, and we had to wait for over two hours before we could disembark. Many people were already seasick, with their heads and stomachs unable to cope. It is recommended to get enough sleep the night before, eat a light breakfast, and take motion sickness medication in advance so that your trip won't be affected by physical discomfort.
From ticket exchange to island arrival, island tour, and whale and dolphin watching, everything was very smooth and seamless. Our guide, RAY, was very dedicated and humorous, explaining the history, culture, and some interesting facts about Guishan Island. He was also very kind and attentive to the elderly and children in our group. During the whale and dolphin watching tour 🐬, he was enthusiastic and lively, creating a great atmosphere. We saw so many adorable dolphins, and they swam so close to our boat 🥰. It was an excellent experience, highly recommended! When visiting Guishan Island, please choose Wushi Legend ☺️🤙🏻
It was absolutely worth it. The boat we took that day was very new, and the guide was very friendly, sharing many captivating stories about Guishan Island and Toucheng's geographical features and cultural history. The weather was sunny that day, and we were very lucky to see a large pod of spinner dolphins, even some very cute baby dolphins! I highly recommend this tour, and I will definitely revisit if I have the need again. 🐬
A fantastic experience, none of the three of us got seasick! It's a shame we didn't see any whales! Hope to see them next time! Experience: Very good Safety: Yes Location: Sea Equipment: OK
