Guishan Island'a harika bir tekne gezisi. Sadece hava durumunu takip edin.
Today I went whale watching at Guishan Island, Yilan, and it was absolutely amazing! 🚢 The morning sun shone on the sea, and it felt incredibly comfortable. 🤩 We took a boat out to sea, enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way. ⛰️ Then, we saw many whales leaping out of the water, which was super exciting! 🐳 Their majestic figures were truly astonishing, and I couldn't stop taking photos. 📸 Near Guishan Island, you can also see unique geological landscapes, like the turtle head of Turtle Island. 🐢 There's also a chance to see adorable dolphins 🐬 swimming around the boat, so cute! This whale watching trip was truly worthwhile, filling me with awe for the ocean. 🌊 Yilan is really a beautiful place, and I'll definitely come back again next time! 🥳 I highly recommend everyone to experience it! 💯 #YilanGuishanIslandWhaleWatching #GuishanIsland #WhaleWatching #TaiwanTravel #Dolphins #Whales
It is windy and cloudy, and we are blessed with no rain. We managed to see the whales, which was so amazing and beautiful. The tour guide took us around the island and talked about its history. It was a nice experience and worth going. Whale watching was the highlight of this trip!
Excellent tour conducted in Mandarin, guide was very friendly and knowledgeable and willing to share. The climb was definitely manageable with paved concrete. There was also a tour of the former military installations and civilian buildings on the island after we came back down. All in all, a great experience!
The restrooms at the check-in counter only open at 8:00 AM, so they cannot be used before checking in for the 401 Highland boat trip. If you need to use a restroom, please find another location. On the day of the trip, an additional island cleaning fee of $100 per person will be collected. The boat is very new and comfortable, offering complimentary water. The cabin is air-conditioned with excellent window views. Sitting outside and swaying with the waves is also very pleasant. Both indoor and outdoor seating options are great! The tour guide on the boat provided an excellent explanation! The weather in April is cool, which is perfect for hiking the highland! Remember to bring your own lunch (there's also a small shop on the island) and an umbrella/hat. The trails are shaded, but it can be quite sunny when circling the island. This itinerary is fantastic! The scenery at 401 Highland is beautiful. Although the milk sea didn't erupt much on that day, it was still very much worth it!
Originally, I chose a 3-in-1 itinerary. However, two days before the trip, due to Guishan Island still being under maintenance, the boat company asked if I could change to a 2-in-1 itinerary. On the day of the trip, the weather was really bad, and despite multiple attempts, the boat company couldn't find any whales or dolphins. Throughout the communication with the boat company and on the day of the trip, the staff were friendly and polite. After the trip, I contacted Klook customer service regarding the itinerary, and the customer service representative (live agent) responded and handled my inquiry quickly. Although this time it was just an island tour 😂, and it was hazy, I did see the Milk Sea, which was very beautiful. It would definitely be even more stunning if the weather were good. I hope to have the opportunity and time to go again next year. I still really want to see whales 🐳 and dolphins 🐬, and also visit the island.
This was one of the coolest tours we have booked on Klook! The landscapes were beautiful, and seeing wild dolphins was such a memorable experience. When landing on the island, it wasn’t overcrowded with tourists, which made everything even more beautiful. Although we only speak English, we were lucky enough to have met a family that speaks Chinese to help translate for us. Thank you to them :) Please book this tour. It will be so worth your money, especially if you can see dolphins or whales!
Before check-in, the shop will confirm if you have arrived. The entire trip included guided commentary, and we were lucky to see a large group of dolphins during the dolphin watching, even performing a spectacular dolphin leap show. Afterwards, they added an extra spinner dolphin flip show, which amazed everyone on board. We even saw baby dolphins, and they accompanied the boat on its journey. On the way back, I chatted with the crew. Originally, the itinerary was dolphin watching first, then island landing. However, their pilot boat didn't find any dolphins in the morning, so they adjusted the itinerary. Towards the end of the island landing, the pilot boat sent good news: dolphins were found! We then successfully saw about 200 dolphins nearby. This was a fantastic first-time experience with the 3-in-1 tour. The staff were very attentive and dedicated. A highly recommended trip!
I had visited Taiwan several times, but I wanted to explore a niche area. While researching, Guishan Island came up, so I decided to join the tour. Initially, I had booked a tour with a different company, but even the day before, I hadn't received confirmation. It was unclear if the tour would proceed as they were still recruiting participants. In my distress, I sent a message through Klook's booking page, and they promptly replied, confirming the tour's operation and advising on the booking deadline. That's why I chose Klook. Also, perhaps due to the non-cancellable restriction, it was slightly cheaper. It's a good idea to check your messages before the tour day, as you'll receive a notification if the meeting time changes. First, go to the port terminal shown in the attached photo, present your voucher, and pay 100 NTD. The terminal also sold snacks, water, and sunscreen. At the reception, we were told when to return, and when the time came, our names were called, and we followed the guide. The day of the tour was blessed with good weather; my biggest concern, seasickness, didn't happen, and the waves were calm. We went straight to the island, immediately started hiking to 401 Peak, which was all stairs to the top. We reached the summit in about an hour. The view from the top and the mystical 'milk blue' water bubbling around the island were breathtaking. It was cloudy that day, so the 'milk blue' area was small, but according to the tour guide, it's very beautiful on a clear day. After descending, there's a break time where you can use the restroom or eat lunch. It's recommended to bring non-perishable items like sandwiches or bread. Especially in summer, you'll likely drink over a liter of water. After descending, we explored the island, visited a pond and a military tunnel, and finally returned to the boat for a circumnavigation of the island before finishing. Since it's not whale watching, I think the actual time spent on the boat is short. If you're worried about seasickness, I recommend going on a tour other than whale watching. By the way, I was the only Japanese person, and the guide enthusiastically explained everything in Chinese throughout the tour, so it's best if you understand Chinese. However, kind participants translated for me in English and looked out for me, which made me feel the warmth of the Taiwanese people. (One participant even drove me to the station.) If you don't understand Chinese and are going alone, it might be a good idea to greet someone on the boat who seems to speak English. They might follow up with you throughout the tour. In any case, this is a tour you absolutely must do if you come to Taiwan! If you extend your trip a little, there are also areas like Jiaoxi, famous for its hot springs, and Toucheng, famous for its night market, so please try to visit them as well.
Considering the scorching summer heat and my friends' desire to go whale watching, we decided against challenging the 401 Peak ascent. (I secretly decided to tackle it next time.) I felt that the arrangements for this trip were generally smooth: the meeting point was easy to find, there were plenty of staff on weekdays, and someone was almost always available to help. Consumers should remember to pay attention to their itinerary, boat name, and departure times. Although the rest time on Guishan Island was a bit short, considering the weather and individual physical conditions, the tour leader did not force everyone to participate in the entire journey. They even shared that in the past, it was common for fewer and fewer people to continue walking as the trip progressed 😅 Due to seasickness in the summer, the time for shopping at the general store was limited. I hope everyone can take motion sickness medication beforehand or bring their own snacks to regain energy~
