Passeios por Te Puia - Rotorua, NZ

The tour was well organized, informative, and enjoyable from start to finish. It was fascinating to learn about the history and behind-the-scenes details of the set. The scenery was stunning, and there were plenty of opportunities to take memorable photos. The comfortable luxury van made the journey relaxing and pleasant, allowing us to sit back and take in the beautiful scenery along the way.

Although it was a sunny day when we visited, the temperature wasn't high. Walking through the geothermal valley, we found the temperature very comfortable. The park offers a lavish buffet (over 1,000 NTD per meal, which we didn't try). Most of the food is steamed using geothermal heat, allowing visitors to taste what food cooked with geothermal heat tastes like.

We joined the Rotorua tour with CheekyKiwi Tours and had Jeoff as our driver/guide. He was professional, friendly, and made the journey enjoyable with his humor and stories. Wai-O-Tapu’s geothermal wonders were breathtaking, the Polynesian Spa was the perfect place to relax, and the Rotorua city tour gave great local flavor. Jeoff’s care, attentiveness, and knowledge made the day unforgettable. Highly recommend both CheekyKiwi Tours and Jeoff!

The course was presented as follows: You will be picked up with other members at each hotel at approximately 6:00 AM. Then, we would go to Hobbiton and arrive around 8:30 AM. We would board a shuttle bus to the Hobbiton scenic area, be guided by a tour guide, and stay until about 11:30 AM. We would then arrive at the Te Puia Māori Institute at 12:45 PM. The tour guide would introduce Māori culture and kiwis, and we would watch the geyser there. We would start our return to Auckland at approximately 3:00 PM. Finally, we would pass through Rotorua Lake and return to Auckland. We would return to our hotel between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM. Thanks to our tourist guide, Mr. ADil, under his detailed commentary and assistance, we had the best experiences.

Hanoz was our guide. He had the 8 people in the group introduce themselves. I mostly enjoyed the caves. My son loved the geysers. Anyway, I loved that they were generous with their bottled drinking water and snacks. Their transport allows you to charge your phones. The ostrich feeding experience was fun.

Diese Tour war unglaublich gut organisiert und die kleine Gruppengröße machte das Erlebnis persönlich und entspannt. Hobbiton war absolut magisch – wunderschön gepflegt und persönlich noch besser. Die Waitomo Glühwürmchenhöhlen waren atemberaubend und anders als alles, was ich zuvor gesehen habe. Unser Reiseleiter war freundlich, sachkundig und teilte den ganzen Tag über großartige Einblicke. Der Transport war komfortabel und alles lief reibungslos. Ich kann diese Tour jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der ein unvergessliches und stressfreies Erlebnis wünscht!

This tour is a great way to learn about and experience the history and culture of New Zealand. We traveled in a small van, visiting Wai-O-Tapu first and then Te Puia. Wai-O-Tapu was mystical with a strong sulfur smell. The walking routes (A, B, and C) are long, but there’s enough time, so I recommend going through Route B. Even without much stamina, it was easy to complete. The ice cream at the shop was also delicious — especially the popular vanilla with honeycomb 🍨 Te Puia was the highlight. I wasn’t very interested at first, but the haka performance was powerful and the performers were passionate, making it a truly enjoyable cultural experience. We also learned about Māori history and saw kiwi birds. The kiwi enclosure is small and dark, so if you’re visiting with young children, please keep an eye on them while being mindful of others and ensuring safety. The ride was quite bumpy, but overall it was a very fulfilling tour. I highly recommend it!

It was amazing, the guide was so knowledgeable and explained everything properly. The Haka performance was too good. Overall, the experience was great. One must visit this to learn about Māori culture and how they live their lives.
