Excursão de um dia ao Vale Geotérmico de Te Puia

Although it was a sunny day when we visited, the temperature wasn't high. Walking through the geothermal valley, we found the temperature very comfortable. The park offers a lavish buffet (over 1,000 NTD per meal, which we didn't try). Most of the food is steamed using geothermal heat, allowing visitors to taste what food cooked with geothermal heat tastes like.

The reception staff were very enthusiastic, and the driver greeted every guest kindly, making everyone feel right at home! The attractions are beautiful, and the Maori culture is impressive and worth exploring.

I loved witnessing the geothermal activity, and it was fascinating to learn about the kiwis they care for on the premises, including their unique eating habits. Experiencing Maori culture was incredible, especially seeing how seriously they take their craft. The students were passionately creating sculptures that showcased their connection to their heritage. We also enjoyed a delicious Hangi lunch, which I highly recommend since Hangi isn't readily available. In fact, this was the only activity during our stay in New Zealand where we had the chance to try it.

Chris was a great tour guide! We had a private tour in the van and learned so much about New Zealand. Te Piua was an enriching experience that we enjoyed!

We were lucky to have a private tour, with only the four of us that day. One of the children in our group was sick and vomited just before we reached our destination. We are very grateful to David for his immense help; he took us to buy new clothes for the child and even helped us delay our itinerary. He is a very responsible, helpful, detailed, and humorous guide. Highly recommended!

The driver was on time and also gave us time to buy drinks and use the restroom along the way. Geothermal Valley was beautiful, and we also saw kiwi birds, which was nice.

The visit to the Maori village has limited content, with sightings of kiwis and geysers. The entire hot spring geothermal area is spectacular, but the half-day itinerary feels a bit loose.

Raymond (y Angelo) fueron puntuales, confiables y realmente informativos. Aprendimos muchas cosas en el camino hacia el destino y de regreso. También se nos recordó el recorrido con un correo electrónico, lo cual fue útil y tranquilizador. El viaje en furgoneta también fue cómodo. También se nos dieron patatas fritas y agua al final del recorrido.
