The performance was absolutely wonderful, a mythical story. They even added costumes on the spot, and there were assistants to help with dressing. The host was fantastic at creating a lively atmosphere; even though there weren't many people that day, he was very professional. The dishes were small portions, perfect for enjoying the ambiance, and quite delicious too.

Overall, the experience is good. The food quality is also good. The quantity is good as well; they don't skimp on portions. The service is good too. The performance is worth it.

Shu Yan Fu in Chengdu offers a truly unique cultural dining experience. The performances are engaging and well-executed, giving a great glimpse into traditional Sichuan arts. While the food is average and not the main highlight, the overall atmosphere and show make it worth visiting at least once.

I brought my parents here. Taking the high-speed train in and out saves a lot of energy for seniors! In the past, it took a whole day just to get to Jiuzhaigou, but now you can depart from Chengdu in the morning and arrive at the scenic area by noon. At Huanglong Scenic Area, we took the cable car up the mountain (80 yuan/person for the ascent) and then slowly walked down to see the Five-Color Ponds. Four hours was enough time for the visit. On the second day, the sightseeing bus in Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area went directly to the core attractions, covering Shuzheng Valley, Rize Valley, and Zechawa Valley. With an average of seven to eight thousand steps per day, my parents weren't tired. Jiuzhaigou in July was lush green everywhere, the waterfalls were spectacularly voluminous, and the air was filled with the freshness of plants and streams. Staying two nights at a hotel at the gully entrance meant no need to move luggage, which was very convenient. My parents enjoyed the Tibetan dinner and even watched a Guozhuang dance. The tour guide doesn't enter the scenic area but explains the注意事项 (things to note) for visiting in advance, which was still very reassuring.

My friends and I took this route on August 7th, and the entire experience was fantastic. First, let's talk about the pace of the trip. On the first day, we gradually ascended from Chengdu to Siguniang Mountain, and I didn't feel any discomfort. Shuangqiao Valley is truly beautiful, with snow-capped mountains reflected in the lake. The sightseeing bus meant we didn't have to walk much, which was very easy on our energy levels. On the second day, the prayer ceremony at the Yala Snow Mountain observation deck was particularly ritualistic. Drinking coffee in Gulong Village while facing the snow-capped mountains created an incredible atmosphere. In the evening at Yuzixi, we were incredibly lucky to see the 'Golden Mountain in the Sunset' – the wind was strong at that moment, but everyone held up their phones, unwilling to put them down. On the third day, we enjoyed a horseback riding experience and nomadic life on Tagong Grassland. Our driver and guide accompanied us throughout, taking photos and never rushing us. Three days in heaven for the eyes, and hell for the body? Not at all. The altitude arrangement was quite scientific, and even though I don't usually exercise much, I felt fine. The small group made for comfortable seating, and it was great that no one sat in the middle of the back row.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this tour. The trip was extremely well organised and took us to many amazing areas of West Sichuan which would have been difficult to get to ourselves. Our driver Jia Wei Shi Fu was fantastic and made the long drives as comfortable and smooth as they could be. the concierge staff were also very helpful with booking our attraction tickets and extremely responsive to any questions or requests. As foreigners, we spoke only a bit of mandarin but we were able to manage using translate apps and still had a great time so I don’t think it’s an issue if you don’t speak mandarin. I can highly recommend this tour to others looking to explore this incredible part of China.
