We chose Momoka Kimono Experience in Kyoto this time, and we were truly satisfied! There are many kimono styles, from traditional to modern adaptations. The lace elements are delicately incorporated without being overly sweet, making the kimonos elegant and photogenic. The staff were very attentive and patient, from helping us choose kimonos and suggesting color combinations to making adjustments for wearing them. There was absolutely no need to worry about language barriers. The couple's kimonos were also very well coordinated, with colors that didn't clash, creating a cohesive look in photos. The location was excellent, making it very convenient to walk to the shrine for photos. The entire experience was smooth, and the quality exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this place for anyone trying on a kimono in Kyoto for the first time!

A treasure trove of a shop that I want to highly recommend to everyone!! (I loved it so much that I left a Google Maps review and I'm leaving another one here 🥰) Booking through Klook was incredibly affordable. We chose the most basic 335$ plan. I originally thought that since the price was low, I didn't have high expectations for the basic small-patterned kimono, just wanted to experience it. But when I got there, I found that there were so many styles!! And every single one was a high-quality, very delicate silk kimono. There were choices in almost every color. If you're still looking at Klook to pick a kimono in Kyoto, don't hesitate, just choose this shop! The price and quality are incredibly good value for money 😭 This shop is run by a Japanese owner, and every item shows meticulous attention to detail and material, truly embodying the Japanese artisan spirit! The Taiwanese older sister (staff member) is very kind and lovely ❤️ She explains the details and knowledge about kimonos very professionally, and you can also chat with her easily 😋. There's absolutely no pressure during the selection process! She won't rush you; instead, she'll encourage you to try on anything you like 😍! Here, you can choose your favorite kimono style without any worries (even the most basic plan includes socks! We also added shoes for 550 JPY and all-you-can-accessorize lace items for 2200 JPY. Even if you don't add anything and just wear the kimono, it's perfectly fine, super beautiful and a great deal 😭✨) A shop full of human warmth that allows you to slow down and enjoy the process! The prices are affordable, and there are many beautiful styles. I definitely give it over a hundred points 💯 By the way, I'm not an internet troll or an advertiser; I'm just a student traveling who was touched by the warmth of this shop ❤️ During the experience, I felt it was such a shame that so few people know about this treasure of a shop! Adding the 60-minute photography service this time was truly worth it! The photographer was very professional and proactively guided us on poses and expressions, so even if you're not usually good at taking photos, there's no need to worry at all. The framing and composition were excellent, naturally capturing the shrine background, torii gate, and kimono details all in one shot. The overall color tone of the photos is clean and high-quality; every single picture is stunning and definitely suitable for commemorative photos or sharing. Although the shooting time was only an hour, the efficiency was very high, and both the quantity and quality of the final products were a pleasant surprise. If you have the budget, I highly recommend adding the photography service!

Located near Yasui Konpiragu Shrine (for good matches and breaking bad ones), the dresser speaks Chinese and is very kind and thoughtful, providing excellent service. The Japanese owner is also very friendly. This time, we rented the couple's plan, which was a great deal. The quality of the kimonos for both men and women was excellent. For those who like lace, you can add on the all-you-can-eat lace option, which greatly enhances the overall look. All in all, it was a very good experience!

Both of them were dressed in kimonos within fifty minutes; the master was incredibly quick. There were many styles, mostly small and exquisite patterns, and the fabric had a very special feel. Kimono experience wish granted!

It seems like they dress you in a more traditional way, a bit different from other kimono shops! First, they shape your upper body with cotton padding and an inner dress to create volume. This makes the side silhouette look incredibly natural and beautiful! The owner is fluent in Japanese, English, and Chinese, so communication is not an issue. I had the first reservation in the morning, and it seemed like two more Korean customer groups arrived during that time! I was a bit worried because there weren't many reviews, but it was a very satisfying kimono experience~ I received many photo requests, perhaps because it looked so natural. The shop isn't large, but it has a split-level structure where you choose clothes on one floor and get dressed on another! Also, for women's shoes... if you have wide or large feet, they might be very uncomfortable. Many people on the street seemed to be struggling with their steps, so it might be good to bring your own shoes or, like me, wear men's shoes..! Women's shoes are pretty, but there are cases where you go out in them and then come back, like me...

The staff provided very attentive service, and there was a good selection of styles. Basic hairstyles already included hair accessories, offering great value for money. The shop is also conveniently located near photo spots.

So much fun, so much fun, so much fun, so much fun! You absolutely must come to Kyoto and experience wearing a kimono. The staff who can speak Chinese are truly wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!
