Passeio de um dia por Alishan e Fenqihu (partindo de Taichung e Chiayi)

Our driver, Yang, picked us up right on time and picked up 3 other people. Our group had 7 people in total riding in his Mercedes Benz. Super comfy. We had 2 stops before heading to Alishan. 1st was short and we saw a guy walk over firecrackers. 2nd, we had a bento lunch with the mountain view. We finally made it to Alishan Park. The roads were windy and bumpy so if you have motion sickness, be prepared with medicine or saltine crackers. It's a long ride into the park. Yang took us around the park and showed us the best places to take pictures. He took photos for us and sent them through Whatsapp. He even made a video for us as a keepsake! He also brought us to a tea farm afterwards! The ride back was also hard for those with motion sickness, but I made it. Yang dropped off the other passengers and he even dropped us off at another location since we didn't want to go back to our hotel yet. He was the best! We loved Alishan!

Excellent operator. Pick up at the hotel on time. Driver Moose, fluent in English and very communicative. The car was very comfortable, a Mercedes. Visited all the places on the itinerary. The scenery in Alishan was truly beautiful. Moose told us about good photo spots and helped take pictures; the results were amazing. This tour does not include Alishan entrance tickets and train tickets. These can be purchased on Klook. Highly recommend this operator. And with Klook, everything becomes easy.

嘉義縣的山丘和森林是個很棒的探索地點。從台中出發的交通時間相當長（單程約2小時30分鐘），但一旦抵達，一切都值得了——我們在森林裡有大約3到4小時的時間，包括搭乘火車、有導遊帶領的森林徒步旅行，以及一些自由探索的時間。第一站的寺廟相當普通，但之後的小鎮、鐵路和森林都令人驚嘆。導遊Ivan獨自一人做得非常出色，他管理我們的團隊，提供建議和事實，還為我們拍了很棒的照片，並在充滿挑戰的山路上導航。

I booked this tour after searching for a day trip to see nature during my 3-night, 4-day free trip to Taichung! The tour was truly, truly, truly wonderful. The driver and guide picked me up perfectly from my Airbnb and took great care of me throughout, so I was able to explore comfortably! Alishan is a lush, atmospheric forest that you really can't see in Korea, like something out of Princess Mononoke. The train stations along the way were just okay (they felt like typical tourist spots, and the impact of Alishan itself was so great that they felt relatively less impressive), but walking through the forest, the trees all seemed to be at least 10 meters tall, which was overwhelming! I think my parents would have loved it if I had brought them. Also, by turning on the Google Translate conversation feature and translating what the guide said, I could understand everything, so there were no language inconveniences. Anyway, I highly recommend this for anyone who loves nature!!

The overall travel experience far exceeded expectations! Our tour leader, Seven, was very experienced, gathered everyone on time, and followed up throughout the trip. Whether it was taking the forest train, admiring the sacred trees, or checking in at the observation deck, everything was perfectly arranged. Along the way, she patiently answered questions and shared local travel tips. Alishan's natural scenery is captivating, and with such a reliable tour leader, this trip was exceptionally fulfilling. Our Alishan trip was amazing, thanks to our driver, Ivan! It was a small group tour and the hotel pick-up made everything so convenient. Ivan was so helpful with all our requests and really looked after my family. He knew exactly where the best photo spots were and helped us pace our walk since the trails can be quite long. We really appreciated his patience and local knowledge. Highly recommended!

Our tour guide was Seven. He explained each attraction very clearly, from the introduction of the location to the cultural background, all presented in a well-organized manner that was easy to understand. Along the way, Seven also recommended local delicacies and shopping spots, allowing us to taste authentic flavors and purchase high-quality specialties. In Alishan, he specifically explained why the trees there grow so magnificently and how some of these precious trees were transported away during the Japanese colonial period. He also shared the story behind the establishment of the Alishan temple, which was very interesting to hear and added cultural depth to the entire trip. Throughout the journey, his driving skills were very steady and professional, making us feel safe and comfortable all the way. Seven was also very happy to assist and help with taking photos. In addition, there were seven companions in our group, and everyone was very easy to get along with, making the overall group atmosphere harmonious and joyful. Overall, we were very satisfied with this trip. Seven's guided tour made the journey even more wonderful and fulfilling. We highly recommend him to everyone!

Despite the rainy weather during our visit, we still had a great time exploring Alishan National Forest Recreation Area. The scenery was beautiful and the cool weather made the walk even more enjoyable. Unfortunately, the forest railway/train was closed during our visit, but there was still plenty to see and experience. Overall, it was a memorable trip and definitely worth visiting.
