The Alishan trip was very interesting, and a special thanks to our driver and guide, Brother Xun! For me, although the journey was quite long, the car ride was very comfortable, and I took many photos along the way. In the morning, we first went to see the Tianchang Bridge and Dijiu Bridge. The morning temperature was slightly cool and very peaceful, with occasional bird calls. Walking up the stone path, the Tianchang Bridge gradually appeared before us, with lush vegetation on both sides, a very pleasant sight. Walking down, we saw the gurgling water again, creating emerald ripples. Then we drove up the mountain to a tea plantation to experience tea picking and tasting. As we ascended to higher altitudes, we saw faint white mist caressing the mountaintops at the turns of the mountain road, which had a unique charm even on a rainy day. Upon arriving at the tea plantation, the hosts warmly welcomed us. Their house was filled with flowers and potted plants, adding a touch of liveliness to the tranquility. The tea fields stretched layer upon layer, with new buds gradually emerging. The hosts shared a lot of knowledge about tea, and we learned about the unique flavor characteristics of Alishan tea. During our conversation, we moved to the workshop to see the tea-making machines, realizing that even a small leaf needs to be roasted for a long time to become the tea we brew, which is not easy. We tasted high-mountain Oolong and Jinxuan teas, which left a lingering fragrance in our mouths, and paired with tea plums and tea jelly, it was perfect. I liked Oolong tea, so I bought some tea leaves, feeling like it was truly a direct purchase from the origin, which was excellent. Leaving the tea plantation, our guide, Brother Xun, took us to the Alishan National Scenic Area. Brother Xun arranged the time perfectly. After having lunch in the scenic area, we entered from Zhaoping Station. The wood inside smelled wonderful, and then we walked along the wooden boardwalk. Afterward, we saw naturally formed tree hollows and passed by attractions such as Sister Ponds, Three Brothers, and Four Sisters, beginning to feel the unique charm of the Alishan forest. The pond water was crystal clear, and the fir trees seemed to reach for the sky, a magnificent sight that even a phone camera could hardly capture proportionally. There were also many exotic flowers. When Brother Xun took us to find the best photo spots, he meticulously introduced us to the names of these plants. It was my first time seeing cherry blossoms' fruit, tiny dark purple berries hanging like raindrops on the branches. Broken wood was also covered with moss, and although it was early summer, it still felt like spring. There were also some monkeys playing and running among the trees, indicating excellent ecological preservation. There was even a school at such a high altitude. While walking, we faintly heard school bells, adding a hazy beauty to the misty forest. I realized that the inconvenience of the rainy day was smoothed over by this gentle atmosphere; there was no smell of damp earth, only the fresh scent of plants. Further along, we saw the Three Generations Tree, which had fallen and grown new trees, showing a vibrant life force growing against time. Even further, we saw even larger trees, unafraid of wind and frost, leaving only traces of the passage of time. We followed Brother Xun to take the train from Shenmu Station. While waiting for the train, the warm lights of the station in the dim rain turned into blurry specks of stars, stretching in a line, like entering a fairy tale world. Escaping the rain into the train, sitting on the soft sofa seats, drowsiness crept in. Smelling the misty rain, we unknowingly arrived at Alishan Station. We bought Alishan Forest Railway themed postcards at the souvenir counter and returned happily. Going down the mountain with a light drizzle, recalling everything from the day in the car, I still felt it was wonderful. I am very grateful to Brother Xun and for this trip. Alishan is truly worth visiting, even on a rainy day, it feels warm.
I was worried if it would be okay since there weren't many Korean reviews, but I chose this product, and to get straight to the point, it was an excellent choice. I want to share my good experience, so I'm writing this review in the car on the way back, even though the guide didn't ask me to! First, for someone like me who loves to sleep in, the hotel pickup is a huge advantage, and the car, which you have to sit in for quite a long time, is very comfortable. The guide was excellent. They were cheerful, provided a lot of information, led us to explore freely, and their meticulous care for each guest was very impressive. I've traveled to many places, but they were one of the best guides I've ever met. Also, if you have some interest in tea, I highly recommend this course! You can hear directly from the tea farm owner about how to pick tea and various stories, and you can also taste the tea. There was no pressure to buy, so it was a comfortable atmosphere where you could just enjoy and leave if you wanted! However, their English isn't very fluent, so if you speak a little Chinese, you'll be able to enjoy it more deeply! (Even if you don't speak Chinese, I think they'll take good care of you.) Although my body feels heavy on the way back, I have no regrets at all. In fact, I'd even want to come back with my family next time. I hope this helps those who are having similar concerns.😁
We had a fantastic time 🥳! Our tour guide, Dunken Gege, was incredibly enthusiastic ❤️ and provided so much emotional value 🥰🥰🥰. In the evening, when our throats felt a bit uncomfortable, he even took us all over Taichung to find a pharmacy! He was so patient ❤️❤️❤️ and the experience was wonderful!!
Although it rained in the morning, it didn't affect our itinerary and even added a unique charm. The weather started to improve in the afternoon, and we were lucky enough to see a cloud waterfall on our way back, along with a sunset like a salted egg yolk.
Transport arrangements were excellent, with convenient pick-up and drop-off at our hotel. The vehicle was clean, comfortable, and spacious, which was perfect given the long drives. We could only admire the Eternal Bridge from below as it was closed and we couldn't cross it. Alishan was incredibly beautiful, quiet, and serene. We were fortunate that it wasn't a crowded day, according to our guide's experience. The tea-picking and tea-tasting experience was also very interesting. We learned a great deal from the local tea farmer and had a wonderful variety of teas to sample.
The trip was very smooth under the guidance of Brother Dunken. His driving skills are excellent 👍, explanations are thorough, he reminds us of many important details, manages time perfectly, and even shares many tips for taking photos and checking in. The scenery of Alishan is fantastic and very suitable for carpooling tours.
What a fantastic day trip experience! The driver was incredibly friendly, drove very smoothly and safely, and along the way, he provided detailed explanations of the characteristics, history, and local culture of each attraction. His commentary was very professional, and he personally guided us through many places, which was very thoughtful. The tea plantation was one of our favorite spots this time. Not only was the scenery beautiful, but the experience was also very interesting. The tea sold on-site was reasonably priced, and there was no hard selling, allowing us to browse at our leisure. The only thing I'd like to mention is that due to the many mountain roads and a longer-than-expected journey, we actually returned to Taichung around 8 PM, which was a bit later than the 6 PM indicated in the itinerary. We didn't have any subsequent plans, so it didn't affect us. I suggest that if a late return is anticipated for the day, it would be good to inform travelers before departure to confirm if they have dinner reservations or other appointments, so everyone can plan their time with more peace of mind. Overall, I still highly recommend this tour, and thank you to the driver for taking such good care of us throughout the journey, making it a wonderful day! 😊
It was a very well-arranged experience. Our guide and driver, Dunken Gege, provided excellent introductions to Taichung's places and attractions. He was also very thoughtful, helping us take photos and clearly listing the meeting point times and routes, which allowed us to plan our time effectively while visiting Alishan. Thanks to our guide's humorous and warm leadership, our Alishan trip was filled with laughter and wonderful memories. Your professional tour advice also saved us a lot of worry! The personal experience of picking and tasting tea was truly special and wonderful. I'd also like to recommend to everyone that the weather in Alishan after Qingming Festival is even more comfortable, making it a great time to visit.
Overall, I really enjoyed the Alishan tour with Wilson. We started with Alishan, enjoying the nature and stunning views, which were totally worth the long journey. As we finished the itinerary early, Wilson even brought us to an extra Alishan viewpoint that wasn’t in the plan, which was a great bonus. After that, we did the tea-picking experience. The tea garden owner was very friendly, and we were lucky enough to catch the sunset from the tea garden, such a special experience. The group was small (8 pax), making it feel like an exclusive private tour. Wilson is helpful, chill, and patient. He always waited for us to take photos, helped take pictures, and followed us along the Alishan trail while sharing stories and explanations.
