Highly recommend this Sun Moon Lake + Cingjing Farm day trip! The itinerary was incredibly smooth, and the timing was just right. No need to plan your own route, which was a huge relief. The scenery of Sun Moon Lake is stunning; the lake cruise offered breathtaking views, and we even tried the famous tea eggs. Every photo taken looked like a postcard. Cingjing Farm, with its lush green pastures, felt like a mini-Switzerland. The sheep were adorable, and we could interact with them up close. The fresh air was incredibly therapeutic, making the entire trip relaxing and fun. Special thanks to our guide, Ken, who was incredibly friendly and attentive throughout, providing professional and humorous explanations. He shared interesting stories about the attractions along the way, and his service was impeccable! I sincerely give this a five-star rating. On July 20th, we had a highly energetic and enjoyable day led by our driver and tour guide, A-Ping. She promptly added my contact information and noted the pick-up and drop-off times and locations, which was incredibly helpful for someone visiting Taiwan for the first time! The full-day itinerary included departing from near Taichung Station, then to Cingjing Farm, checking in at The Old England Manor, and finally Sun Moon Lake with a boat tour. Both the time management and the comfort of the journey and ride were absolutely excellent 👍. This experience further deepened my fondness for Taiwanese people, especially listening to the stand-up comedy at Cingjing Farm – it felt like watching Kangxi Lai Le live, so many great jokes! Even after getting into the car for the next destination, Sister A-Ping's jokes kept coming, instantly intensifying my desire to live in Taiwan 💕. Miraculously, I drew a 'Great Fortune' lot at Xuanguang Temple in Sun Moon Lake, hoping for a smooth journey ahead! Thanks again to Sister A-Ping for leading us; I loved every place!

The Cingjing Farm and Sun Moon Lake day tour booked through Klook was truly worthwhile! The itinerary was rich and smooth, allowing us to perfectly experience the essence of Nantou's attractions in one day. In the morning, we first took photos at the European-style Old England Manor, then headed to Cingjing Farm to enjoy the adorable interactions with sheep and horses. For lunch, we savored a delicious meal at Chicken King Live Shrimp Beer City, and the afternoon boat tour on Sun Moon Lake offered breathtaking views of the lake and mountains. We especially want to highly recommend our driver and tour guide, Mr. Wilson Liu! Not only was his driving smooth and safe, but he also provided detailed explanations of each attraction's characteristics with his professional knowledge throughout the trip, and even proactively helped us take group photos. Mr. Liu's thoughtful service made us feel right at home. His excellent service was definitely one of the highlights of this trip, leaving us with unforgettable and wonderful memories!

The itinerary was perfect, and first of all, I'm very grateful to our driver and tour guide, KEN! KEN arrived very early to pick us up and took care of everyone thoughtfully. Our first stop was Cingjing Farm. The journey wasn't short, and with the winding mountain roads, I wondered if it would be boring, but it wasn't at all. KEN started telling many interesting local stories even before we began ascending the mountain, which was super entertaining. He shared details about every place we passed. On the way up, we saw trucks transporting cabbages down the mountain, experienced the indigenous people's way of life, culture, and art, and even the place names we passed had their own history. Thanks to KEN, I learned a lot about Nantou. The mountains in Nantou are truly beautiful. Walking into the grand mountains, I truly understood what it means to have layers of green peaks. The mountains seemed endless. Occasionally, we'd pass by cliffs, and in the distance, we could see riverbeds. It was the dry season, so they looked like shallow, scratch-like marks, with a few shimmering, wide, thin mirrors of water reflecting faintly. The scenery was captivating. When we arrived at the farm, the weather was excellent. Under the blue sky and white clouds, time seemed to stand still. We slowly began to feel the temperature cool down. Sheep trotted on the slopes, creating little 'flowers' on the lush green grass. The trail was built along the mountain, with a few horses grazing in the flat area below. In the distance, the continuous mountain ranges were hazy, only their approximate outlines remaining, blending with the azure sky. We walked along the trail to the exit, where KEN picked us up to go down for lunch, and then took us to our second stop, Sun Moon Lake. Getting out of the car, I was immediately drawn to the surface of Sun Moon Lake. It was wider than I imagined, with an emerald-like surface, seemingly bottomless. Sunlight scattered across it, making it sparkle like light, thin silk stretching and unfurling in the wind. Taking a boat tour of the lake was exhilarating; the breeze was refreshing, reducing some of the early summer heat. KEN continued to provide explanations, deepening our impression of Sun Moon Lake. The boat stopped at several piers, and in the shallow waters near the shore, we could vaguely see small fish. I guessed the fish were as happy as I was. During our free time, I walked to the Yuchi Township Farmers' Association Ita Thao Branch and bought Ruby Black Tea. It felt right to bring some black tea back from Sun Moon Lake. The Assam milk tea I bought from a small roadside shop was also delicious. On the boat ride back, we could also see the cable cars, making it even more pleasant. Sun Moon Lake at sunset, with its water turning deeper, gently smoothed away all worries. Even though we were reluctant to leave, it was time to go back. KEN drove us back, again carefully reminding us to take our personal belongings. On the way back, we watched the sun set. The fields by the roadside were golden, the residual warmth of the sun slowly faded, and my phone filled with more and more photos. I thought about how truly happy this day had been, and how it had passed by so quickly. As night fell, we finally returned to Taichung. KEN patiently dropped us off at our respective accommodations and bid us farewell. I am very grateful to KEN and to this one-day tour. It felt like a wonderfully beautiful dream. I love the mountains and waters of Nantou. Perhaps someday when I feel anxious, looking back at this journey, recalling those interesting little stories, those cute little sheep, and those lovely ripples, will bring me peace of mind. I truly hope to have the chance to visit again!

As for the itinerary, Cingjing Farm was incredibly therapeutic, with adorable sheep, a spectacular equestrian show, and rich, creamy sheep milk ice cream. Sun Moon Lake, of course, was breathtakingly beautiful, like a painting. Ken was witty and humorous, constantly sharing fascinating stories about Taiwan's local history and culture, keeping everyone on the bus laughing non-stop. At each attraction, he transformed into a professional photographer, proactively helping everyone find the best angles and taking fantastic pictures! Thanks to Ken's thoughtful arrangements, the entire trip felt relaxed yet fulfilling. The next time I visit Taichung, I will definitely choose his tour again! Highly recommend it to anyone planning to visit Cingjing and Sun Moon Lake.

I had a wonderful time without having to think too much. This tour made my trip much more convenient. I shared a Chinese meal with strangers. The tour guide, Dunken, is also funny and very attentive. Overall, it was a great Taichung experience.

This trip to Taichung and Nantou was a great experience, and I was lucky to meet Ken, who was both our driver and tour guide. The overall experience was very satisfying. Ken was very considerate of the shared-ride passengers and proactively optimized the itinerary. For example, he arranged Cingjing Farm in the morning (ticket price NT$270, including Sun Moon Lake boat tickets), which avoided fog and offered better views. Then, in the afternoon, we went to Sun Moon Lake, where all the shops were open, making it convenient for shopping and buying souvenirs. He also took many photos for everyone. Throughout the trip, he respected everyone's opinions and wasn't the kind of guide who just rushed through the itinerary, which was a big plus. Along the way, Ken introduced a lot about Taiwan's local customs and culture, such as the fact that there are more betel nut shops in Taiwan than FamilyMart convenience stores. He also talked about the movie "Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale" (adapted from the Wushe Incident). He has a very humorous personality and would use playful banter to liven up the atmosphere, for instance, joking that it takes a long time for everyone to understand what Hong Kong girls say when they first speak. At the time, my travel companion had an urgent online meeting, so she was wearing headphones, and there wasn't much interaction with Ken in the car, which might have seemed a bit quiet. I'm a bit directionally challenged, so I was always a little late for every meetup. I hope Ken didn't mind. During the trip, Ken suggested that we could charter a small yacht together, which would save us from waiting for public ferry schedules, making the timing more flexible and the whole trip much smoother. The complimentary tea eggs were also super delicious! However, there's a small incident I'd like to mention: because my friend and I had a rather full breakfast, we didn't have lunch with the other shared-ride passengers. As a result, there was no restroom stop arranged on the way to Sun Moon Lake, and we went directly onto the boat upon arrival at the port, which meant my friend and I had to hold it in for a long time. After reaching our destination, we still had to climb a long flight of stairs to find a restroom, which was a bit embarrassing. I suggest that in the future, it would be more thoughtful to remind guests about rest stops in advance.

We originally booked this expecting a guided bus tour, but it unexpectedly turned into a self-guided experience with a private driver, and all tickets arranged for us. In the end, it turned out to be an excellent tour. Everything went very smoothly, and we were able to follow the itinerary at our own pace. Our driver was kind, friendly, and very accommodating, with great English communication skills. The ride was also very comfortable and smooth throughout. Overall, it was a wonderful and enjoyable experience!!
