boat goes one way only, but you can start from any stop: shuishe > shuangguang temple > ita thao. have to exchange physical tickets at the ticket counter. boat captains are very friendly and shared some interesting stories. I enjoyed the boat ride around Sunmoonlake! :)

I've been thinking that in this ever-changing and special era, after not going out for some time, the outside world has transformed even more. I hope everyone can explore the world within their reach. You don't need to go abroad; Sun Moon Lake is already incredibly beautiful. Its beauty is serene, profound, with stunning lake and mountain scenery, often enveloped in misty clouds. It's subtle, understated, yet deeply captivating; unhurried but wonderfully stable and beautiful. Transportation is also convenient for touring the lake: you can take a bus, a boat, drive yourself, ride a bicycle, or rent an electric scooter – all very convenient. With the internet so developed now, booking accommodation, tickets, and shopping are all incredibly easy. Unless you demand top-tier luxury, all prices are very affordable, allowing you to enjoy yourself without breaking the bank. However, if you're a bit older, you need to consider the strain of overexertion. For example, after cycling all day, and with some personal aches, I need to value my own well-being and not overdo it. The ability to travel itself is a form of self-care. Don't say you don't have money or time; in fact, my past travel experiences were all accomplished under such circumstances. With time, opportunity, and a little bit of money, go out and see the world. Your perspective on life might change. Perhaps a shift in mindset will open new paths, and roads that seemed impassable will suddenly become clear. Keep going! I wish everyone success in their endeavors and peace in all things. The redemption center is a little farther north than the pier/port. this service is only available on boats on pier 1. dont worry if your boat leaves right after dropping you off since another comes in after 20-30mins if you dont want to stay at one of the pier stops too long. i wish the captain of the boat/tour guide spoke english, he was telling stories inside the boat when it was all chinese

Cycling around Sun Moon Lake is a very comfortable and relaxing experience. Along the way, you can see the lake and mountains complementing each other, creating a beautiful scenery with fresh air. Most of the cycling routes are well-planned, with dedicated bike paths, making it safe and smooth to ride. You'll pass by attractions such as Shuishe Pier and Xiangshan Visitor Center, where you can stop to take photos or rest. The overall difficulty of the ride is not high, but some sections have inclines, requiring a bit of effort. Completing the loop around the lake will give you a great sense of accomplishment and allow you to experience the natural beauty of Sun Moon Lake up close. It's a highly recommended outdoor activity.

我的第一站是在伊達紹碼頭上船的，取票很方便，船班也不會等太久，某段空船只有我家人搭，船長就開船了，船長解釋下一站急用船，所以不等了先開船，我們意外包場了😁，ㄧ般都會等搭船的人坐滿才會開船

The tickets were quite easy to retrieve from the ticketing booth, and the staff gave instructions on how to use them. It was very convenient to get them via Klook and then to be able to hop on and off the ferry from the three piers. I had a great time at Sun Moon Lake.
