Tour de um Dia Inteiro aos Templos Branco, Preto e Azul de Chiang Rai saindo de Chiang Mai

Our tour guide M was very kind and dedicated, switching between Chinese and English to cater to everyone in the group. Before the trip, pay attention to the travel agency's messages. They will email you again the day before departure to confirm the meeting time, which in my case was different from the time given at booking. The car arrived very punctually. 8:50 Chiang Rai Hot Spring: The foot bath was super hot, you could only dip your feet in briefly. 9:20 Long Neck Village: There's a cafe on a high spot next to the parking lot, offering distant views. The owner couldn't communicate much in English, so double-check your order. 11:30-12:40 White Temple (Wat Rong Khun): Amazingly beautiful, and the route design is very meaningful. No photos are allowed inside the main hall. 12:50 Lunch: Buffet style, with freshly scooped noodle soup, various Thai desserts, and sweet fruits. 13:50-14:30 Blue Temple (Wat Rong Seur Ten): You can take photos with the large Buddha statue at the Blue Temple. Outside the temple, there's a row of shops where you can buy souvenirs and snacks. 14:50-15:30 Black Temple (Baan Dam Museum): The private collection of an artist, with a unique style. 16:30-17:40 Golden Triangle Park (optional boat trip 300/person). We returned to Nimman Road at 22:00, an hour later than the scheduled 21:00. Luckily, I had snacks with me. The streetlights along the route were quite far apart. I recommend that those who get motion sickness take medication beforehand, as the mountain roads there are not very smooth. Although it ended very late, the tour guide remained energetic throughout, providing excellent service.

Good trip, beautiful temples. There were stops at decent places. Buffet lunch. Mixed feelings about the long-necked village - a museum with living people. Entrance 300 baht. P.S. Be prepared to walk in the heat, bring glasses, hats. Also, I didn't always understand our guide's English, but maybe that's on me.

We will send an email a few days before your trip to confirm the exact pick-up time. We chose the 7:00 AM slot, and the new notification was for a 7:20 AM pick-up. Although there was no contact information, which made us quite nervous 😓, the car arrived punctually at 7:20 AM! The friendly tour guide confirmed our details before we boarded. We needed to fill out some forms and provide passport numbers for insurance purposes. We were given a bottle of mineral water and a small snack. The car drove quite fast, so those prone to motion sickness should be careful! 📍I recommend everyone buy a large bottle of mineral water from 7-11 to stay hydrated during the journey, it's very important!! On the bus, the guide will briefly explain the itinerary and history. We only had about 60 minutes at each attraction. ⬇️ ▪️8:20 AM Arrived at Chiang Rai Hot Spring ♨️ for a short break. ▪️8:45 AM Gathered. There was enough time to buy a coffee, a snack, and soak our feet. ❗️The hot spring was really super hot! The restroom cost 5 baht, and toilet paper was provided inside. The restroom facilities were very old but quite clean. ▪️8:55 AM Arrived at the Long Neck Karen village. We didn't purchase this part of the tour, but one person in our group did. So, everyone had to wait for him for 40 minutes. You can also add it for 300 baht. The restroom was clean and free, but even older, with no flush valve. There was a large bucket of water inside the restroom to scoop and flush the toilet yourself 😂. There wasn't much to see at the entrance, so we just rested. ▪️9:35 AM Gathered and departed. It took an hour and a half to reach the White Temple. ▪️11:10 AM Arrived at the White Temple for free time. There was an art exhibition by the White Temple's designer, which would close at 12:00 PM. The guide suggested we go see it first, saying it was very worthwhile! Every piece of art was surprising and incredibly detailed! I couldn't resist buying postcards 🥰. ▪️12:12 PM Gathered and walked to the self-service restaurant across the street for a 40-minute meal. The hygiene was a bit concerning... I saw ants crawling in the coriander in the condiment area, but many other dishes were quite tasty. I highly recommend the rice noodle soup in the corner! Everyone must order a bowl; it's freshly made ❤️ and super delicious 👍❗️The restrooms at the buffet cost money. ▪️1:00 PM Gathered and took a 20-minute drive to the Blue Temple. The Blue Temple is relatively small but also spectacular! Walking around and taking photos, 40 minutes was a perfect amount of time. The restrooms were free 🆓. ▪️2:00 PM Gathered and arrived at the Black House Museum at 2:15 PM. As soon as we got off the bus, the guide bought delicious small pineapples 🍍, one bag for each person, so cute 💖. The museum interior was dark and mysterious, and there were more large black houses outside, which were also worth exploring, but there were many animal bones and skulls, which were quite frightening... ▪️3:00 PM Gathered and departed for a long drive. We arrived at a rest stop around ▪️5:00 PM, where we could use the restroom and buy snacks and drinks at the shops. ▪️6:30 PM Returned to Nimman area 🏠 (The guide mentioned on the way that we would pass Maya Mall, and we could also get off there).

J'ai tellement appris sur l'histoire, la culture et les arts. La visite d'hier, menée par Ken, a été une visite mémorable à Chiang Rai. Ken nous a expliqué l'histoire de chaque site visité, nous a laissé amplement le temps d'explorer et s'est adapté aux autres. Ma seule préoccupation est qu'au musée Baan Dam, notre temps était limité et nous n'avons pas pu explorer correctement le site car nous devions nous rendre au dernier endroit. Dans l'ensemble, j'ai eu la meilleure expérience et je recommanderai certainement ce voyage. Remarque : Évitez le Lanna Cafe et visitez plutôt le musée Baan Dam.

Even though it takes over 3 hours from Chiang Mai, I think it's definitely worth it. I highly recommend Tour Guide Wang's detailed commentary throughout the journey. The Black Temple and White Temple are especially worth spending more time to fully experience. The White Temple's meaning is derived from the journey from hell to heaven, with descriptions of the human world depicted in the murals behind you after entering. Since photography is not allowed once inside, I'm afraid some might miss it.

También paramos en las aguas termales y en la Aldea de las Mujeres Jirafa, lo cual fue un buen añadido. Nuestro guía, Ken, estaba bien informado y dio explicaciones claras y detalladas durante todo el recorrido. Bien organizado.

【White Temple, Blue Temple, Black House Day Tour Review】 Early in the morning, a dedicated car will pick you up from your hotel. After picking up other tour group members, the tour will speed off to start the itinerary, haha. The tour guide at the attractions is very kind and will help take photos~ 📍First Stop: Hot Spring. You can soak your feet and buy hot spring eggs. 📍Second Stop: White Temple. If your attire doesn't meet the dress code, you can rent a sarong outside (rental fee 20 baht + 100 baht deposit). However, it's better to wear appropriate and beautiful clothes for better photos~ 📍Third Stop: All-you-can-eat lunch. The restaurant is opposite the White Temple. The Thai buffet offers common dishes like curry noodles, pork noodles, fried rice, and stir-fried noodles. 📍Fourth Stop: Blue Temple. The murals inside the temple are very dreamy. If your attire doesn't meet the dress code for entering the temple, free sarongs are available for borrowing. 📍Fifth Stop: Black House Museum. There's a stray cat shelter inside, and the cats all wear collars and are super cute. Donate 20 baht to get a small gift and cat puree to feed the cats~~ On the way back to Chiang Mai, there will be a stop at a souvenir shop rest area for a restroom break, where you can sample cashews. The tour will return to Chiang Mai around 6 PM.

There was a review saying the chair spacing was narrow and uncomfortable, but as a 175cm, 73kg male, I didn't feel it was cramped. There are a total of 12 seats (3 seats per row, 4 rows). With fewer people, there wasn't much awkwardness. There were 2 Koreans, a father and daughter from Indonesia, 2 friends from Italy, a family of 3 from Singapore, Germany, Spain, and one person (nationality was difficult to discern). Perhaps because the guide's schedule was tight, the driving was a bit aggressive, which was a slight disappointment. From Mae Kachan Hot Spring, White Temple, Blue Temple, Black House (Baan Dam Museum), to the giant Guanyin statue, the itinerary was incredibly fulfilling. The buffet at the rest stop across from the White Temple after visiting it was also delicious. It was fortunate that the White Temple visit concluded in the morning. By around 12 PM, near closing time, a huge crowd had gathered, queuing up just to enter. On the way there, we stopped at various tourist spots and didn't notice the time, but the return journey took quite a while, about 4 hours. It was a definite journey from hotel pickup to drop-off. I recommend it.

This tour offered exceptionally good value for money. Although it was a bit tiring, hot, and exhausting, looking back, we really made the most of our day trip. Since we don't do such trips every day, I recommend taking a day tour while enjoying a relaxed stay in Chiang Mai. There's an optional 300 baht additional entrance fee for the folk village in the middle; if you don't wish to participate, you can rest for about 30 minutes. I chose to participate. Other attractions like the hot springs, museum, and the White, Blue, and Red Temples include admission, and lunch is also provided. Lunch exceeded my expectations. The White Temple was the main highlight, and it was so magnificent that I felt it would be worth visiting Chiang Rai just to see it. However, due to the nature of the tour, the 1-hour time limit felt a bit short. The coconut ice cream at the Blue Temple isn't expensive, so definitely try it – it's delicious and makes for great photos! The back of the vehicle didn't get much air conditioning, so it was quite hot during midday. We were picked up from our accommodation at 7:20 AM and returned after 9 PM. It was a long day.

El personal y el guía fueron súper amables y atentos, los lugares a los que fuimos eran absolutamente impresionantes, ¡realmente lo recomiendo! Y el almuerzo que estaba incluido con el tour fue tan delicioso y rico. Todavía estoy pensando en esa sopa.
