Excursão Cultural de Dia Inteiro ao Templo Branco e Azul

I had an amazing trip with our guide, Wen. Although the schedule was quite rushed, she managed the entire group very smoothly. Since this is a “check-in style one-day tour,” it’s important to keep expectations realistic and not expect too much in terms of depth. But honestly, I can say this experience really enriched my overall impression of Chiang Rai. It also gave me the opportunity to travel with a group of people from different countries, which made the whole trip even more meaningful and memorable.

It is a quite exhausting journey yet it is remarkable. The guide is friendly and he took a lot of pictures for us. All of us really enjoy the tour. The food for the lunch is delicious and all the temples are awesome. I highly recommend this tour. Please be prepared for the journey because it is a long one.

Starting at 7 AM, drivers will pick up guests from various hotel entrances. The journey from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai takes about 3 hours. We will first visit the Long Neck Karen village and a hot spring area for a break. We'll arrive at the White Temple around noon, followed by the Blue Temple, and finally the Black Temple. Lunch is included in the itinerary, which is very convenient. Although the journey is quite long, we'll return to Chiang Mai around 7 PM. This is a great one-day trip to see Chiang Rai's main attractions.

Fue una gran experiencia y recomiendo hacer este tour de un día. Fuimos a cuatro lugares. El primer lugar fue la aldea Karen de cuello largo. Es un poco caro y no hay mucho que hacer. Sin embargo, recomiendo apoyar a la comunidad. El Templo Blanco es muy hermoso. Había mucha gente allí. Almorzamos antes de ir al Templo Blanco. La comida era buena y había opciones veganas/vegetarianas. El Templo Azul también era hermoso. Estaba un poco concurrido. La última parada fue el café. Me gustó mucho. Se siente mágico allí.

Este viaje de un día a los lugares instagrameables de Chiang Rai es una experiencia larga pero que vale la pena si quieres ver los principales puntos destacados de una sola vez. Cada parada es turística, así que es mejor establecer expectativas desde el principio. Las aguas termales de Mae Kachan fueron un breve descanso donde tomé café y pan de las tiendas cercanas. El boleto para la Aldea de las Mujeres Jirafa cuesta 300 THB y se sintió más como una zona de compras que como una visita cultural, pero lo tomé como un apoyo para la tribu y compré una bufanda. El almuerzo fue en un restaurante tailandés local antes de visitar el Templo Blanco, que es hermoso y está bien elaborado, pero muy concurrido; el edificio dorado de los baños fue un detalle divertido. El Templo Azul fue impresionante y mi favorito personal, aunque pequeño. Lalita Café fue mágico y excelente para los amantes de la naturaleza, con bebidas a precios razonables, pero extremadamente concurrido. El viaje de regreso de 3.5 horas fue agotador, pero en general el tour es asequible, bien organizado, el guía fue informativo y el viaje vale la pena.

Our guide Matthew/QQ was amazing. He really made sure everyone had a good time. He explained a lot about the temples, was talkative, and approachable. And always willing to take pictures for you. I think he made the group dynamic so much better. The temples were fascinating, and we got some really nice pictures. Thanks to our guide, we also learned a lot about Buddhism, Hinduism, and Thai culture.

We were picked up on time at 7am from the hotel, had pit stops for bathroom breaks and coffee/tea breaks, visited the White Temple (temple entrance fee and lunch were included in the package, although we decided to eat elsewhere), we stopped by the Karen Long Neck Village for an optional B300 entrance fee, there was also a hot springs pit stop (buy your own egg/s to boil in the spring), the Blue Temple (free entrance, you may buy optional blue ice cream) and the IG-worthy Lalitta Cafe (with a B60 discount voucher towards food or drink you purchase there), then back to the hotel with one pit stop by 7pm. The first half of the roads to Chiang Rai are winding and may make some people nauseous, so manage your breakfast and expectations. We visited in September, which was surprisingly scorching hot, so bring a fan and hat. As always, when entering temples, women must cover their knees and shoulders to be respectful.

If you are visiting Chiang Mai, you cannot skip Chiang Rai. It's a comfortable one-day tour with almost 2.5-3 hours drive one way. The White Temple will leave you speechless. The Blue Temple is amazing as well. And Lalitta Cafe is mesmerizing. Our tour guide was super nice and gave us a lot of information.

Amazing experience on the day tour in Chiang Rai. Booked the tour through Klook and had an amazing timely hotel pick-up and drop-off service. The temples were amazing and Lalita Cafe was beautiful as promised. Overall, had a great time and would definitely recommend the trip to everyone.
