Due to time constraints, I couldn't visit both Chichibu and Kawagoe, so I ended up going to Chichibu and Seibu-Kyujo-mae. Following everyone's advice, I added an express ticket for Chichibu, and it was really worth it! The train was super cute and comfortable, making for a very pleasant ride! Chichibu wasn't particularly lively since it wasn't during a festival period, and many shops in the shopping street were closed (I heard they open in the evening? We went during the day), but it still had a lot of charm. I went to Hitsujiyama Park, but since it wasn't flower season yet, I just took a walk. If you have time, you can enjoy a hot spring bath in front of the station (I didn't go this time). Since it wasn't baseball season, I could only take photos outside the Seibu Lions Stadium, but the small train that goes there was very cute, so fans might want to check it out. Overall, it's a very convenient one-day pass! I hope to have the chance to see the Chichibu Night Festival and other places next time.

Purchase a Seibu Railway One-Day Pass e-ticket. You can activate it on the same day using the QR Code. However, you need to use gates with QR Code readers for entry and exit. If some smaller stations do not have QR Code gates, you can show your QR Code to the station staff. Although I didn't see any station staff at Seibu-Kyūjō-mae Station, there was a sign indicating that you could press a bell to call them. What a great value ticket! After the ticket office opened at 8:00 AM, I immediately exchanged it for the 8:30 AM train. I highly recommend taking the Limited Express Wide View for the outbound journey. Firstly, you can rest well, and secondly, it has very large windows, making the train more distinctive than JR. In the morning, I went to Nagatoro to see the red (and yellow) leaves. At noon, I visited the Hashidate Limestone Cave, and I highly recommend Jurin Geo next to it; the cave has an adventurous feel, and the coffee is incredibly fragrant. In the evening, I went to Moomin Valley, which is only open at night during winter. If you bought a two-day pass, I also recommend visiting the outlet in Iruma City and Koedo Kawagoe!

The rail pass is good value for money. We travelled across multiple Seibu lines to go to a sake brewery for a guided tour, and also to visit Seibuen Amusement Park. The park has small rides, no big rollercoasters. It was a nice relaxing time and we had good fun at the little game stalls too. They also have a recreation of a Showa-Era shopping street with cute little stores and actors playing mini performances which was good fun.

We went to Kawagoe and spent some good hours there although the day already seemed gloomy. We tried our luck to go to the chichibu. It started raining and when we arrived there the staff werent helpful at all. Overall it was a great experience.

Collect easily from customer service near the B entrance, with your passport. You can take all local Seibu Trains. Be extra careful as "limited express with seats" requires an additional payment.

I exchanged my ticket at the East Exit of Seibu Ikebukuro Station. You can buy express tickets opposite the exchange counter, and the entrance gate is right next to it. I saw in other guides that taking the express train to Chichibu City is faster, so I paid an additional 900 yen per person. It took about an hour and a half to reach Seibu Chichibu Station. After exiting the station, I waited at bus stop 5 on the left for the express bus, which took 80 minutes to reach Mitsumine Shrine. I had originally planned to visit the Thirty Tsuchi Ice Pillars in the afternoon, but they had already closed, which was a bit disappointing. After exploring, I took a stroll around Chichibu Shrine, then enjoyed the hot springs at Matsuri no Yu next to the station, and finally returned to Ikebukuro. Overall, it was a very smooth trip.
