Cruzeiro Aquamarine 2D1N: Baía de Ha Long, Sung Sot, Ti Top

La confirmación de la recogida fue muy de última hora, tuvimos que intentar varias formas de contactar con ellos. También fue culpa mía, esperé demasiado y los contacté el día anterior. Una experiencia de crucero increíble, el personal muy amable y servicial. La habitación y las vistas eran impresionantes. ¿El interior parece más lujoso en comparación con otros cruceros? Las actividades como la visita a la cueva y la 'caminata' fueron un poco apresuradas, pero en promedio, aún así conseguimos nuestras fotos y la experiencia.

When the order was confirmed, I received a notification asking for information about the pick-up hotel in Hanoi, but there was no other contact method. So, I directly contacted Klook customer service to convey the hotel information. Before that, I didn't receive any details about the driver's license plate or contact information. On the day of the pick-up, the driver arrived 20 minutes early, but our luggage wasn't ready yet, so the driver went to pick up others first and then returned for us. On the way to the pier, there was a stop at a souvenir shop. The restrooms were very clean, and there was no pressure to buy anything. Upon reaching the pier, the driver called out names and dropped off passengers one by one at each cruise ship's dock. Upon entering, you can directly check in by stating your name and then wait to board the ship at noon. The yacht manager's English was quite easy to understand, and all the service staff on board were very polite. The actual room was much older compared to the photos, but overall it was clean. The itinerary followed what was listed on Klook. However, the downside was that there was a Tai Chi activity scheduled for the second morning. Everyone woke up early, but the manager in charge overslept and stood everyone up, without any explanation or apology, which was quite surprising. On the return trip, since there was no information about the pick-up driver, we could only sit at the counter and wait, not knowing when the driver would arrive. It could take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours of waiting. You just have to sit there and wait for your name to be called. Personally, I felt quite insecure. Aside from that, The meals weren't particularly delicious; they were just enough to fill you up, so don't expect too much. Overall, if it's your first time visiting Ha Long Bay and you want to enjoy the scenery, this tour allows you to see everything and won't be too disappointing. However, if you're looking for a luxurious cruise experience, this tour would not be the first choice.

The itineraries for Ha Long Bay are quite similar, but when boarding, I noticed other boats and felt ours was of better quality. Both the food and service were above average.

Visiting Halong Bay on this 2D1N cruise allowed us to take in and enjoy the amazing scenery (sunset, sunrise, multiple islands etc) at a leisurely and relaxed pace. Activities on the cruise were interesting e.g. cooking demonstration, squid fishing, and we definitely enjoyed the itinerary (Sungsot cave, Ti Top island, Luon cave - bamboo boat/kayak). Before the trip, I emailed the Aquamarine cruise team directly (using the email address on their official page) to inform them of our Klook booking and Hanoi hotel address for the hotel pick up as we could not submit it when booking the package on Klook - suggest the team to look into updating the fields in the booking form on klook. The team responded quickly (within 1-2 days) so we were able to confirm the hotel pick up arrangement with them before our trip. In terms of cruise facilities, we went during summer when the weather was super hot and humid (think temperature hit 37 degrees Celsius at one point) and our cabin room was also warm in the day even though we turned on the aircon (it was as if the aircon was not working) so it might be better to visit during cooler periods. Good thing about visiting in summer was that it did not rain so activities/itinerary could proceed as planned. The jacuzzi tub in the bathroom comes with a great window view. What truly shined on this trip, besides the beautiful scenery at Halong Bay, was the kind and attentive hospitality and service by the cruise crew. Special compliments to Tom the cruise manager for being so friendly and cheery and always tried to joke and converse with us in English to make sure we were settling in comfortably and also got us excited about the upcoming activities. Food was buffet style other than the Western 5-course (?) dinner on the first night. We really enjoyed the silk gourd and spinach soup which was a surprisingly simple and homely dish that we got to try for the first time. Overall, a great Halong Bay cruise experience with Aquamarine, thanks to the cruise crew!

Even 0 points would be too many. The food preparation was sparse and unappetizing. All drinks cost money, which was extremely poor. The meet-up point was in the middle of nowhere, requiring us to find our own transportation to get there. If you want to experience being in prison, you can pay to go in. I deeply regret wasting over a day on this tour. If I had to find one thing to praise, I suppose it would be the sea view.
