Very close to the main attraction, a 10-minute walk after completing the attire. Many eateries nearby. It took about 30 minutes or less as we were among the first 10 customers for the 9:30 AM slot.
The earliest reservation available was 9:30 AM. On the day of our visit, we traveled from Osaka, which took about an hour, including waiting for the bus or walking. We had a 10:30 AM reservation and arrived at the shop around 10:38 AM. The receptionist at the counter spoke Chinese and asked if we wanted to add a special braided hairstyle for women (I think it was an extra 1500 yen) and dirt insurance for 500 yen per person. We were worried about sudden rain or getting stains while eating, so we decided to add it (but it doesn't cover bloodstains). Choosing kimonos and accessories was really difficult, but the staff helped us overcome our indecisiveness and assisted with coordination. For the men, it was much simpler 🤣. The teachers for wearing the kimono and doing hair and makeup were all Japanese. Occasionally, we needed the Chinese-speaking receptionist to help convey our meaning. We are grateful that everything went smoothly!
The service attitude is excellent. The staff on the first floor can speak Chinese. They offer helpful suggestions on how to coordinate outfits during the selection process. There are many beautiful clothing options for women. The staff who helped put on the kimono spoke Japanese, and although I didn't understand much, they were all smiling and very nice. The hair styling was done quickly and meticulously, and the result was beautiful. It was a fantastic experience!
It's very close to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and the location is easy to find. The staff all speak Chinese. I was worried it would be hard to find, so I made a reservation for 11:30, but I found it before 10:30. The shop still provided early service for dressing and makeup. A sincere suggestion: bring your own shoes, because wearing wooden clogs all day is very painful.
Highly recommended. There are many kimono styles in different colors. The staff were very attentive and professional in giving advice on how to coordinate outfits. The hairstylist was equally professional and helped us look beautiful. There was plenty of time.
The service attitude is excellent, and the reception staff can speak Chinese. Although the kimono-clad artisans don't speak much English, communication through gestures is perfectly fine. All the artisans are very friendly. It's very close to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and walking to Ninen-zaka and Sannen-zaka isn't too far. Highly recommended.
This kimono shop has staff who speak Chinese, so there's no need to worry about language barriers. Their service is excellent, and they also offer advice on kimono coordination. I highly recommend it to travelers visiting Kiyomizu-dera who want to rent a kimono for photos.
This store is truly amazing. Klook is indeed the best app I've ever used, with consistently high ratings and no disappointments. The staff are also very friendly and professional.
It's very close to Kiyomizu-dera Temple, with many beautiful historical sites to see. There are Chinese-speaking staff in the store to assist you, and you can shop at Ninen-zaka and Sannen-zaka nearby. With beautiful mountains and waters, it's a place worth visiting to uplift your mind and body.
The hairstyle is very artistic, and there are many kimono styles to choose from. I'm very satisfied with the overall coordination 👍. Thank you to the staff here for their kind service. The weather was a bit too hot this time; I should have chosen a yukata + geta, otherwise walking in a kimono made me feel a bit heatstroke-ish 🥵.
