Guida führte uns gekonnt durch die Kathedrale und erweckte ihre reiche Geschichte mit fesselnden Geschichten und faszinierenden Einblicken zum Leben. Sie sorgte dafür, dass wir kein einziges Detail verpassten, von der wunderschönen Uhr von Paolo Uccello bis zum unglaublichen Fresko des Jüngsten Gerichts von Vasari und Zuccari, das das Innere der Kuppel schmückt. Guidas Wissen ist tiefgründig, doch sie präsentierte es auf eine Weise, die für jeden in unserer Gruppe fesselnd und zugänglich war. Ihre herzliche Persönlichkeit und ihr ansteckender Enthusiasmus machten die Tour nicht nur informativ, sondern wirklich angenehm. Sie beantwortete alle unsere Fragen geduldig und bot eine Fülle von Informationen, die wir alleine nicht entdeckt hätten. Dank Guida war unser Besuch des Doms mehr als nur eine Besichtigungstour – es war eine bereichernde Erfahrung, die unsere Wertschätzung für dieses ikonische Symbol von Florenz vertiefte. Ich kann sie jedem, der diese prächtige Kathedrale erkunden möchte, nur wärmstens empfehlen.

The Florence Duomo Cathedral, as beautiful as a flower, was incredibly bright and stunning. I was able to save time by booking in advance. The octagonal ceiling painting inside the Florence Duomo Cathedral was particularly impressive. The octagonal ceiling painting, composed of five layers, was colored in gold, ivory, and brown tones, creating a sense of unity throughout and giving the impression of converging towards the center. The artist used a lot of yellow, and I wondered if it was meant to represent the sacred light of heaven, perhaps because sunlight is yellow. It was a beautiful tour that exuded a simple yet profound beauty and holiness.

We arrived at the meeting point early, and the staff there told us the tour guide would arrive on time and asked us to wait nearby. Once everyone had gathered, we were given audio guides and headphones, and a very friendly staff member led us into the exhibition. Although it took a little time to understand the explanations in English, the guide was very enthusiastic, and we were able to ask questions afterwards. I even took a photo with him, and skipping the queue for entry was really convenient.

There was a very long queue outside the church, and the Italian tour guide had a very strong accent. I'd recommend that if you're a native Chinese speaker, you'll need to listen very carefully to understand the explanations 😇. However, on the other hand, just the fact that you don't have to queue in the high Italian temperatures and can enter directly makes this tour highly recommendable!

I originally planned to queue up on-site to buy tickets, but the same-day tickets were sold out! I found a small group tour on Klook that I could join, so I immediately signed up! Not only could I enter on the same day, but I could also skip the long queues and enter the church interior! There was also a guide providing explanations. After the explanation, I could continue to stay inside the church to visit, which was very convenient!

This is a very beautiful place. It's a pity that our chosen itinerary didn't include going up to Giotto's Bell Tower and the cathedral dome. However, the Museum of Our Lady of Mercy at the nearby meeting point allowed us to understand the truth about good deeds done anonymously and gain much valuable knowledge. It's highly recommended. Arrived at the check-in counter on time with our small group of seven. The tour guide was very thorough and informative. Since we pre-booked, we were able to use the special entrance, which was absolutely fantastic (especially after seeing the huge crowds queuing outside). I highly recommend everyone pre-book. Seeing the dome painting—The Last Judgment—inside was truly astonishing.

Able to quickly enter the Florence Cathedral, and the guide provided a very detailed introduction. Recommended for tourists who want to understand the history inside the cathedral.
