Excursão de meio dia a Doi Suthep e à Vila Hmong

The half-day tour is good, not too long and not tiring. Our guide, Mee, is great, professional, and speaks both English and Mandarin very well. We were picked up at our hotel and she was flexible in dropping us off at a location along the way. The last stop was a temple high up in a mountain; climbing the 300 stairs was good exercise and offered a fantastic view of Chiang Mai city.

Excellent tour, the guide was extremely nice and shared a lot of historic and cultural knowledge about the places visited. I got to try traditional clothes from village people (it was around 60 baht). Remember to bring cash if you want to try the local food, coffee, and wine. There's a lot of handmade stuff you can buy also. There's an ATM but only in one place.

I have one more stop. We will visit two temples and a village. Wat Phalet is a 700-year-old temple, and its pagoda appears very ancient. In Hill Tribes Village, I saw many aboriginal people dressed in traditional attire. I also gave a young girl my Marathon Medal as a gift.

English-speaking tour guide Mr. Chai provided detailed explanations of the history and culture of Doi Suthep. There was ample time for sightseeing, and the half-day tour didn't feel rushed, which was great. On the return journey, we could be dropped off at a different location in the Old City, but this needed to be arranged in advance. Apenas um passeio razoável. Fiquei um pouco desapontado porque o guia turístico não deu muitas informações sobre os lugares que visitamos, apenas nos deixava aqui e ali e depois nos dizia quando nos encontraríamos novamente para o ônibus. O serviço de traslado foi bom, no entanto. A vista panorâmica para a cidade de Chiang Mai no templo poderia ser ainda mais incrível se o tempo estivesse melhor. A visita à tribo foi monótona, mas humilde. Em geral, se você tiver tempo de sobra para explorar Chiang Mai e já tiver visto os locais na cidade antiga ou feito muitas outras aventuras ao ar livre, então este passeio pode ser uma opção. Caso contrário, este passeio é apenas uma maneira de passar o tempo.

The temple is beautiful, but like other places in Thailand, it's swarming with tourists, making it hard to get the perfect picture. The journey up is on a winding mountain road, so it can feel a bit queasy. The Hmong village has a beautiful garden, which our guide bizarrely told us not to visit as it wasn't the season for the flowers. However, ignore this advice, go visit, and pay the extra 20 baht for the lovely views.

The tour itself was good - clean car, tour guide was good and safe and even provided umbrellas. The village was quite boring in my opinion, you are herded through a marketplace (walking up a mountain!!!) and end at a museum you need to pay to enter, then you’re left to your own devices. People with mobility issues would struggle with this tour given the village portion which was not an easy walk up a mountain!

物超所值，也節省了自己沿途搭乘雙條車的時間。這是一座很棒的寺廟。在我看來，在苗族村的時間太短了，因為那裡有兩個花園和一個草莓園。
