Passeio Noturno Guiado por Doi Suthep e Wat Umong

This is a cool evening temple tour. We were picked up at the hotel around 4:40 PM and first went to Wat Umong to see the tunnels. You need to take off your shoes to enter, and tall people should be careful not to hit their heads. There are also bats inside. After that, it's about a 40-minute drive up the mountain, so those who get carsick should remember to take motion sickness medication. Upon arriving at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, you can buy a 20 baht ticket to overlook the night view of Chiang Mai. The tour guide will also help take photos. Afterwards, we visited the glittering temple, which looks especially beautiful at night. Remember to take off your shoes and keep quiet when entering the temple. Later, on the way down the mountain, you can get off at the Sunday Night Market. It happened to be Sunday that day, and the market is huge. You should be able to find anything you want to buy. The food stalls are concentrated in one area, so you'll need to look for them. It's also very large, and you won't be able to see everything. If you find it inconvenient to go up the mountain by yourself, you can join this tour. It's great!

This was a great tour, we landed in the morning but still wanted to do something on our wish list. Doi Suthep is a must if you are visiting Chiang Mai but it is approx. 50 minutes away from the city and in the mountains so a tour is recommended. Chin, our tour guide, was great, he provided a lot of history about the temples and pagodas throughout the tour.

We had a group of 8 people from 3 different countries! Our guide shared some history of Chiang Mai and the two temples we were visiting. The duration was just right, and we were grateful for the transportation to and from the hotel!

It is an amazing tour. The guide picked up on time at the hotel. She also explained everything nicely. During my visit there was a full moon festive so it was very crowded. After all, it is trulyrecommended for those who want to visit and enjoy the beauty of Chiang Mai temples

This was a very relaxing trip. We first went to Wat Umong, where there were many chickens 🐔 in the temple grounds. The tour guide introduced the history and origin of each pagoda, mentioning that if you visit in winter, the stairs outside the walls turn a beautiful lush green! Afterwards, we drove a short distance to Doi Suthep. You can choose to pay for an escalator (10 Thai Baht one way) or climb the stairs yourself. There are many monks on the mountain, and you can wait a bit; at night, the lights come on, and the temple becomes very grand and resplendent!

The evening departure was a great arrangement, as the weather was much cooler, and we were able to visit two suburban temples in one go, which was very worthwhile. Although it rained lightly that day, our guide, Ms. DADA, was very dedicated and explained everything clearly. Overall, this is a worthwhile tour to join. However, the only confusing part was the inconsistent language information: the search page indicated "Chinese guided tour," but when clicking into the activity page, it stated "English/Thai guided tour," and the actual tour was indeed conducted in English. I believe this should be more clearly indicated, otherwise, with many similar tours in the search results, it's difficult to distinguish between them.

The pickup was on time, within the 17:10–17:40 window, as multiple guests were being picked up from different hotels. The guide was amazing—he even made a quick stop at a store to get motion sickness medicine for someone just before heading up to Doi Suthep, which was really thoughtful since the road has lots of sharp turns. He shared interesting historical insights and useful facts, making the tour even more enjoyable. His friendliness and expertise made everything run smoothly. The temples, especially Doi Suthep, were absolutely stunning. I arrived back at the hotel by 9 PM.

The guide provided abundant information on the history and Buddhism. The temple at the hilltop was splendid and luxurious. The view overlooking the city and old town was breathtaking. The night trip was definitely a must-do while in Chiang Mai.

Je recommanderais vivement la visite du soir et ce guide. Moins de monde le soir, les lumières de Chiang Mai et celles qui éclairaient le temple étaient magnifiques.

We went on the Doi Suthep night tour. We visited Wat Umang and Doi Suthep. Our tour guide, Da-da, was very cheerful, playful, and informative. Our pick-up was on time, and the journey was smooth. She was attentive and explained the history of each temple to us in detail.
