Passeio noturno guiado aos templos de Wat Umong e Doi Suthep

Exceptional experience from start to finish! Our guide Chin was fantastic—extremely patient, knowledgeable, and gave great explanations that brought the history of Wat Umong and Doi Suthep to life. The transfer was smooth and it was worth every penny!

Our tour guide was very insightful regarding the life of a monk. Our tour was splendid! The guide cared for us and provided us with umbrellas because there was light rain that day. Our guide even wrote our names in Thai!

We had tour guide Sunny and driver Boy who were very interactive and polite throughout the tour. Sunny was very fluent in English and her explanation was detailed and understandable. She was flexible in taking good pictures of us at many spots. She guided us through the temples history and Buddhism and we were able to see a prayer by monk in the evening session which was very calming. Entire trip was pretty smooth and we enjoyed the view of Chiang Mai.

I was contacted late the day before via WhatsApp (I had provided my contact number on WhatsApp), and they reconfirmed our meeting at 3 PM in front of McDonald's. It was a small group tour, so there were four of us, including myself. On the way to Wat Umong and Doi Suthep, the guide continuously shared stories about Chiang Mai's history and temples. The vehicle was spacious and cool, and water was provided. It was nice that they opened and closed the door for us when getting out. Since I had a lot of luggage, I left most of it in the car and only took out important items when we stopped to look around (I think this is an advantage of a tour, especially a small group tour). The guide provided excellent explanations at both Wat Umong and Doi Suthep. At Doi Suthep, they walked us through the murals and told us stories about Buddhism. The temple was truly beautiful, and at Doi Suthep, we were able to arrive just in time for the monks' chanting, so we could see them chanting, giving sermons, and circumambulating the pagoda, which made it even better. Going to Doi Suthep before sunset to see the chanting and then leaving after sunset allowed us to enjoy both the daytime view and the night view, which was wonderful. Moreover, the elaborate decorations reflected the light, making them truly beautiful. It was great even without the lights on at night. + If you plan to go inside Wat Umong or Doi Suthep, you need to take off your shoes, so it would be a good idea to bring black socks or something simple to wipe your feet.

The tour guide was very dedicated in explaining Buddhist knowledge, making the temple visits very interesting with many stories! Before finishing, they also recommended other worthwhile attractions and restaurants. They really took care of the customers, highly recommended!

It was an amazing tour and a very interesting place to visit. My only complaint is that the departure should be at 4:30 PM and not 3:30 PM, as it's too long to wait inside Doi Suthep for the sunset to see the city at night. Otherwise, the tour was really nice and the tour guide was very funny.

This tour includes Wat Umong and Doi Suthep. I was debating whether to visit by public transport or Grab, but then I saw this tour and booked it. It was a pity that the half-day tour didn't include Doi Suthep and Chiang Mai's night view, but despite the small group, our guide kindly explained Thai Buddhist culture and daily life in detail. I'd like to thank the guide for always smiling, explaining things, and taking photos, even with such a small group.

The tour guide Jin was perfect throughout the entire trip. Although it was only a half-day trip, the time management was excellent. Furthermore, thanks to Jin's explanations, we were able to get a glimpse into the history of the two temples. If we had come here without joining the group, it would have been a shame not to know their background and history. Highly recommended, and thanks again to Jin for his help throughout the entire journey!
