It's definitely worth seeing, reliving many famous scenes. The kids loved the spell-casting part, and some interactive NPCs give you gold coins. Another tourist told us that if you collect 10 gold coins, you can exchange them for a blind box at the shop, but I was too tired to go back and verify if it was true 😅. The lighting and sound effects are excellent. There are quite a few slopes, so it might not be suitable for the elderly. You can take a small train when entering the park. We didn't know about the train at the time and walked a long way to get in, questioning our life choices 🫣. Plus, the small train is only $5 per person, which is great value. It was a pity we only found out about the train when leaving. The train is very cute, and the kids loved it. The main point is that you don't have to walk such a long distance anymore 🤣
We visited the place on Tuesday evening and literally had the whole forest to ourselves.. feels like a VVIP. Ticket redemption was super easy, just show your look booking and they will print out the physical ticket. The experience was phenomenal and it was far beyond my expectations. As a potterhead, I am impressed by how well they managed to recreate the movie scenes will all the little details. You will immersed in the set up and feels like living the magical world of Harry Potter. Experience of a lifetime. Upon entering, take a bottle of water with your house lanyard and free copy of newspaper printout with your picture on it.
The Harry Potter immersive experience in Shenzhen truly exceeded expectations! From the moment you enter, you're captivated by the sets and sound effects. The scene recreation is highly accurate, with meticulous attention to detail. Whether it's the house banners, classroom setups, or corridor lighting, you genuinely feel transported into the wizarding world. The interactive zones are also quite rich, including wand experiences, mini-class tasks, and photo opportunities. Each area is designed with a sense of ceremony, offering so many photo spots that you could easily spend an entire afternoon there. The staff are also very much in character, interacting with you using phrases from the movies, which really enhances the immersive feeling. My favorite parts were the "class" segments and the wand interaction. Although simplified, the pacing was well-controlled, making it enjoyable for both adults and children. There were also some small Easter eggs throughout the exhibition; if you're a fan of the books or movies, you'll find many familiar elements that will bring a knowing smile to your face. The lighting and flow of movement were quite smooth, so it never felt overly crowded or difficult to navigate. However, during peak hours, you'll still need to queue, especially for some of the main photo spots. The shopping area is quite dangerous (for your wallet!). There's a wide variety of merchandise, from classic house scarves and badges to limited-edition collectibles. Prices range from affordable to collector-oriented, so if you're a collector, I recommend setting a budget beforehand, or you might easily overspend. Food and beverage options lean towards snacks and themed drinks, which are more for Instagramming; the taste is decent but not outstanding. Tips: - It's recommended to visit on weekdays or during off-peak hours, as weekends are significantly more crowded. - Book your tickets in advance online and choose an early morning or later evening slot for a more comfortable experience. - It's best to arrive a bit early to allow more time to explore and take photos. - If you're visiting with children, remember to prioritize the more interactive areas first to keep them engaged. - Make sure your phone and camera batteries are fully charged; there are so many places you'll want to photograph! Overall, this experience center is very friendly to both die-hard fans and newcomers alike: it offers strong immersion, sufficient interactive elements, and well-thought-out flow and arrangements. As a day trip or an add-on to your itinerary, it's quite worthwhile and definitely a "magical" and rather decent city-exclusive experience. I would definitely go again to support it if they release a new theme.
The Harry Potter Forbidden Forest experience in Shenzhen was by far the best Harry Potter exhibit that I have ever been to. The experience itself was very realistic, from the little village to the finest of details, as well as the characters roaming through the forest, greeting, interacting, and overall entertaining guests. As an avid reader and fan of the series, I must say I am quite impressed with The Forbidden Forest.
とても忘れられない経験でした。ハリー・ポッターファンには最高の場所です!スタッフも素晴らしく、雰囲気も最高でした!快適な靴を履くことをお忘れなく。
I was very worried after seeing the negative reviews from mainland China, but I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. The forest light and shadow effects were beautifully done, coupled with movie OSTs and scene recreations, as well as magical interactions and character Easter eggs. Harry Potter fans definitely shouldn't miss it. We entered at 7:45 PM that night, and there were very few tourists. The staff remained friendly even after standing for a long time, thank you! If it weren't for the 20-minute walk uphill to the entrance, which was a bit tiring, I would really want to go again. However, the weather was cooler, so it felt okay. In the end, I still highly recommend all Harry Potter fans to visit at least once!
Firstly, it's very convenient to buy tickets on Klook. Upon arrival, just show your Home Return Permit and QR code at the entrance to exchange for physical tickets. On the day we went, there weren't many people, so we entered quickly. However, because there weren't many people, there was no need to buy a fast pass (it only speeds up entry, no difference inside the park), but you can't predict crowd levels. The entire Forbidden Forest experience was richer and more thoughtfully designed than I imagined. The decorations and sound effects were excellent, making it easy to immerse yourself in the atmosphere. There were many interactive wand-waving activities and beautiful photo spots, and the staff were all very nice! Additionally, there are slight slopes along the way, which children can handle. Just note that you have to walk 1 kilometer to the entrance and another 1 kilometer to exit. It can be tough in hot weather. There's a small train that takes you in and out (for a fee), but it only runs every half hour and has very few seats. Overall, Harry Potter fans will have a great time!
Although this Harry Potter experience isn't a studio, it's definitely no less impressive. Our family arrived around 7 PM and took the mini-train in. There were hardly any people, so the three of us had the entire forest to ourselves. It's actually built in a real forest park, making it incredibly realistic. It's absolutely fantastic; you have to experience it yourself to know how much fun it is.
Finally, I've arrived at the Harry Potter "Forbidden Forest"! It's great that each checkpoint showcases different magic! It's so much fun and unique; I've never experienced anything like it before! The staff member playing Draco Malfoy's father was very dedicated. Seeing my daughter wearing a Gryffindor uniform, he asked her if she belonged to that house and, in character as a villain, asked, "Do you want to challenge me?" He was very much in character, and I really appreciated him. Also, even though I went on the evening of November 7th, it wasn't cold, so wearing a Hogwarts robe would have been hot. I really admire the staff who were still professionally dressed in full school uniforms, even wearing scarves. I'm very grateful for their dedication in setting the atmosphere for the entire venue. I finally understand why people say you can't drive up there, and why online sources say the mini-train schedule is sparse. That's because it's a running path, meant for half the people to run, half to go to the Harry Potter event, and occasionally for the mini-train to run, so there's simply no road for cars. Since the venue is remote, I didn't know how to get there after exiting Guanlan Lake E. Fortunately, a Hard Rock Hotel staff member told me. I hope more signs will be put up in the future to indicate the way to the venue and the mini-train station. It turns out there are snack stalls before entering, but beer is on the other side, near the customer service center. Luckily, I found a guide online that reminded me to bring a magic wand to play at the checkpoints and a notebook to get stamps at the souvenir shop. For photos, it was dark, and even though I used a fill light, it didn't help much. In the end, I used my phone's flashlight function to light up my husband when taking photos, so the people would be bright enough! After Halloween, it seemed like there were far fewer people, so there was no need to queue much. It's a good time to come when the weather gets colder; wearing a magic robe will create an even better atmosphere.
