This tour was absolutely brilliant. My partner and myself decided to go with this tour due to the mix of food and history. it was a great combination. Bim was our guide and we were in good hands. she had excellent English, made sure we were well fed and taught us so much on temple life & how to manage food markets. its given much more knowledge and confidence to carry on with the rest of Thailand. Food was plentiful and all delicious.
This is a highly recommended tour if you're visiting Chiang Mai. You can explore temples and markets around the Old City, learning about Chiang Mai's history and culture. The guide is very friendly, entertaining, and knowledgeable about history, so you can ask anything. At the market, you can experience various street foods and enjoy shopping. After the tour, you can conclude your day by enjoying a delicious drink while admiring the Ping River, the heart of Chiang Mai. I hope many people will join this wonderful tour. Since you'll be walking for half a day, it's a good idea to wear sneakers. It was a very exciting and enjoyable time.
This was my final tour in Chiang Mai. And it was truly amazing. I was the only one on the tour. Hence, we took a more leisurely approach. I had already done the main 3 temples. So, we skipped those but still visited some others that are unique. My tour guide was amazing and so knowledgeable. She was very open about her culture, talking about the origin and the differences with Lan Na culture. I had amazing fresh jackfruit, lychees, and mangosteen. The Hung Le pork curry and the jackfruit salad were revelations. While walking through the markets in Chinatown, it was beautiful to hear about the harmony of cultures settled there. All in all 10/10.
Our guide Bim was very knowledgeable and easy-going! It was wonderful to have her guide us around the markets – what to eat, what to look out for, where to get great value massages and gel manicures! It was a shame we got so full too quickly, there was just so much to eat! It was also so helpful to have her explain the stories behind the local cultures and beliefs, including where to place the paper gold on the Buddha statues for good health. Highly recommend!
We ate a lot and visited a few large food markets, trying some Northern Thai dishes. We ended the day at a bar by the river.
Great experience! We enjoyed the food selections and it was great we got to visit several temples around the city. So we really got a tour of Chiang Mai as well. We left the night stuffed and happy! Our tour guide was also knowledgeable about the temples and gave us some fun facts while we toured the temples. He was also awesome in helping us take some great photos!
ฉันได้กินอาหารอร่อยๆ มากมาย ของโปรดของฉันคือการกินข้าวซอยและดื่มน้ำมะพร้าวริมแม่น้ำ
The tour included a great mix of cultural sites and food stops with plenty of information provided for both. The guide was very generous with food selection- we had to take some home with us. The city was beautiful at night. Overall a great tour.
Even though it was my second time in Chiang Mai, I was able to visit places I didn't know about, and I was happy to go to a local Khao Soi restaurant. Warorot Market and Chinatown. Dining by the Ping River was beyond my expectations. Special thanks to Rain, who guided just the two of us.
I was the only applicant that day, and I'm grateful that they didn't cancel and kindly assisted me from beginning to end! It was great to try various delicious street foods that I wouldn't have eaten if I were traveling alone, and the detailed explanations during the tour were excellent. Thank you, Kitty Guide💕
