Avaliações
The tour is quite adventurous and relaxing at the same time. Biking around 12-15km and exploring the unknown spots inside and outside of the old city wall. Visiting the Silver Temple and the canal is the highlight. The guide is supportive. Lunch is delicious. Definitely recommend!
The guides were amazing, and I felt very safe under their care while cycling throughout the city. They also shared quite a bit of the history and secrets of Chiang Mai. I definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Chiang Mai for the first time.
¡¡¡Altamente recomendado!!!
We met at Trail Cafe at 9 AM, had some drinks, and then set off. While we were drinking, we checked helmet sizes and adjusted our bike seats! Our guide, Lek, led the way, constantly signaling directions with his hand to ensure we rode safely, and he continuously checked to make sure we were doing so. We explored alleyways, a blacksmith's shop, and a local market (Muang Mai Market, where he even bought us fruit ㅠㅠ and taught us about fruit prices and how to pick good ones, just like a dad!), places I would never have found on my own. We also visited Wikun Steamed Bun Shop (he introduced it by saying they still steam and sell them in the old style, so of course, I bought some!) and the Khanom Krok shop next door! He took us to many places and shared so many stories ㅠㅠ (He explained things so simply and clearly that even those who aren't good at English can easily understand, so everyone, just give it a try!)
The best way to explore a new city. My guide was very kind and accommodating, and I really enjoyed the sights. I booked an afternoon ride because it was the only time available in our schedule, but I would also recommend the night tour.
I initially wanted to visit Khlong Mae Kha, but its distance from the Old City was a bit awkward – neither too close nor too far. Coincidentally, I saw on Klook that this half-day cycling tour included Khlong Mae Kha as one of its stops! I immediately signed up without hesitation. The tour was led by two handsome guides, P'Kom and P'Tum. One guided us from the front, explaining directions and attractions, while the other stayed behind me to ensure I didn't fall behind, occasionally adding extra explanations. The two guides made me feel incredibly safe! Two of the stops offered freshly brewed herbal drinks and ginger soup, which I absolutely loved. Unfortunately, the accompanying drink packs were sold out. Khlong Mae Kha has been renovated by the government; both sides of the canal are now lined with cafes, attracting many visitors for photos. I heard it's even more beautiful at night when the lights are on (the guide even Googled pictures for me on the spot). If you want to see the night view, I recommend booking an evening tour. I really enjoyed how the guides introduced various local ingredients and plants in the market or along the way. Although my English vocabulary is limited and I didn't understand some historical explanations, both guides tried their best to use Google Translate for me, ensuring I understood. They kept introducing things to me throughout the journey, even explaining the flowers and plants growing in front of people's houses. They took me through narrow alleys, where I saw many different sights. I was very happy! 🥰 They even gave me a keychain with a silver temple design, which I love! The weather in Chiang Mai is currently close to 40 degrees Celsius, so even the morning tour was extremely hot. I really appreciate the hard work of the two guides. At a traffic light, the guide even told me to stand in the shade of the traffic light pole. Hahahaha, at first I was confused, thinking, "Wouldn't that block the sidewalk?" But he said it would be cooler in the shade. I was amused; that little bit of shade is like a drop in the ocean in 40-degree heat! Still, I was very grateful for the guide's thoughtfulness. The itinerary was very interesting, and the two guides were humorous and considerate. I highly recommend this route! However, if you're coming in summer, I still suggest booking an evening tour.
What a great tour, 100% recommend. We started off at the bike shop and they gave us a massive delicious smoothie and some water for the trip. Our guide was very safety focused making sure we had helmets and would always check the roads before crossing and give us signals for where to go. We stopped to see several temples and markets around town. She bought us several snacks to try and introduced us to some new foods. Every stop she told us about the culture and history behind what we were seeing. The tour was a good length. I would highly recommend.
Our guide Nee was great! She explained all of our stops in detail and bought us lunch and snacks along the way! It was a wonderful way to spend half a day and I highly recommend this tour for the first few days you are in Chiang Mai.
It was hot, so I quickly applied for the morning slot the day before. I heard that September before Chuseok is the off-season in Chiang Mai. I was worried that cycling might be dangerous, but the guide led us safely and well. It was more interesting to hear explanations about the temples and general places. Chiang Mai doesn't have as many sights as I thought. If you try some experiences, you'll have a more enjoyable trip. The price, including coffee, meals, and the guide, is by no means bad. Those who ride 'Ttareungi' (Seoul's public bikes) in Seoul have enough skill for this.
I am more than happy with the tour. Our guide, Tiew tirelessly showed us the streets of Chiang Mai. He also let us try some dishes bought from the local market. Highly recommended.
