Transport i Hokkaido

Jeg brukte JR Hokkaido Furano Pass under sommerferien min, og det var definitivt verdt det. Det gjorde det enkelt å reise mellom Furano, Biei og Asahikawa uten å kjøpe separate billetter. Togene var rene, komfortable og alltid i rute.

Jeg elsker hvor praktisk JR-passet er, da det kobler sammen alle interessante steder via Shinkansen. Det blir bare dyrere og dyrere... nyhetene rapporterte at prisen vil øke igjen i oktober, så jeg må bruke det nå 😂 Klook har gjort kjøpet enkelt og praktisk. You can pick up your tickets at the foreign visitor counter at the airport and reserve your seats at the same time. This pass can be used for the airport line or to get to Moere Station for the Beer Museum. All Hokkaido limited express trains require seat reservations, and it's worth it just for a day trip to Furano, Biei, and Asahikawa. If you don't get a reserved seat, you can still use it as a standing ticket.

I really like Japan's rail passes; they're so convenient. As long as you plan your itinerary before your trip, the passes offer excellent value. This 4-day pass allowed me to visit Noboribetsu, Otaru, Shiraoi, and Chitose (the Shikotsu Lake bus portion was paid separately), all of which are incredibly beautiful places.

The "Free Hong Kong Mail" for the voucher was delivered by SF Express. I placed the order today (Monday) and received it the next day (Tuesday), which is extremely efficient. The last time I visited Hokkaido via Sapporo Airport, I deliberately skipped Hakodate because taking the Hokkaido Shinkansen from Shin-Aomori Station to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station, then transferring to the JR Hakodate Main Line to Hakodate Station, only takes about 1.5 hours. This is much more convenient than the over 3.5-hour journey from Sapporo to Hakodate. For a relaxed trip for middle-aged travelers, the route Sendai - Aomori - Hakodate - Hachinohe - Sendai, using a JR Pass to reserve seats for free at the designated seat ticket machines, allows you to enjoy leisurely times and various delicious foods. It's very cost-effective and worthwhile.

Appreciate that there are night options for the shuttle bus for flights coming in late, however note that the bus does not wait for more than 10mins past the stated departure time. My flight arrived 1h late, but no alternative arrangements were proposed by the bus company. I was just lucky that I was able to run with my luggage to make it to the bus on time.

It was a pleasant experience. The pickup location was convenient and easy to find. The driver was polite and carefully helped with our luggage. The tour bus was very comfortable, allowing us to enjoy the scenery along the way. We stopped once at a rest area so we could use the restroom. Upon arrival at our destination, the hotel staff warmly welcomed us. If you're not driving yourself, this bus is definitely the ideal choice for traveling from Sapporo to Tomamu.

we redeemed the pass at Sapporo station and reserved the tickets for several trips as well. staff there are very helpful. we used the tickets to travel from Sapporo to Hakodate, Aomori, Hirosaki, Akita and Tokyo. very good journey and thanks KLook for providing such a great value ticket 👍

The meeting point at the airport was a little bit hard to spot but it's probably because it's our first time there. Staff was really nice and helpful. Bus was on schedule.
