It really is a beautiful hotel. But I also have two severe critics: * The internal restaurants are SEVERELY(!) overpriced. Never before had I had to pay 120 Euro for breakfast for 3 persons. It was a good breakfast but certainly not exceptional (I am a frequent business traveler, so able to compare). A dinner would have set us back by about 400 Euro in any of the restaurants. For comparison, in Shibuya, the finest restaurants at the top-place in the world we had full dinners, drinks and deserts in several restaurants between 50 to 120 Euro; the price level in Japan is slightly lower than in Europe, so I don't understand what Otani is doing; very sad grabbing for no reason. * The pool is not accessible from within the hotel; you MUST walk through the (beautiful) gardens, backside of the hotel, stairs down, check-in (!), stairs up. For food you must go stairs up once more. I think the pool setup can have some improvements but it is not a show-breaker as with my first point. Because the rest of the hotel is so exceptional (beautiful rooms, garden, lobby, above a small shopping mall, very close to metro), still 4 out of 5 stars.
