It wasn't the ideal time to visit the coast in December, as it had been raining, and the weather wasn’t very favorable. If you plan to go, be sure to come prepared with a raincoat and an umbrella. The raincoats available at Yehliu are affordable and made of good quality material, so I highly recommend purchasing one to stay comfortable. Our group was small and intimate, just six of us, which made the experience feel more personal and enjoyable. I especially appreciated the company, as it really enhanced the trip. Our tour guide, Allan, was fantastic—he took lots of great photos and shared them with us, ensuring we captured all the memories. The timing for each activity was perfect, allowing us to fully enjoy everything without feeling rushed. The tour ended at Raohe Market, which is conveniently located just a short walk from the train station, making it easy to continue your journey back to the hotel

I enjoyed this tour with a small group. I was picked up and dropped off at my hotel, which made everything very convenient. In just one day I was able to see so many places—if I had tried to do it on my own using public transport, I would have only managed a few. I recommend this tour. The only part I found less impressive was the Cat Village.

Mr Caleb Wei was a great driver - very patient, attentive and accommodating. He considered our request to add in houtong cat village as an additional stop for the tour. Additionally, he recommended medicinal patches/ointment and found an alternative exit at Jiufen street for my mother who had a sprained ankle. Lastly, he patiently answered our numerous queries and recommended many excellent food options at Jiufen (cream puff, peanut ice cream roll, taro ball soup).

Our guide Trix was FANTASTIC. I couldn’t believe that he has been doing this for only a few months because I thought he has been a tour guide for all his life. He was so attentive and went above and beyond. He had videos he made to show us during the drive, made a special map for us to follow at the Jiufen. spoke such good English that communication was easy. He also went above and beyond and took us around special alley way to get the best shots at the Jiufen. I highly recommend this tour and it was even more special because of the guide Trix. Thank you!

Libby is a fantastic guide, highly skilled, organized, and quick in managing every detail. What makes her truly special is the way she takes care of her guests with kindness and attention. She single‑handedly managed a large group while still giving support to each person individually. We sincerely wish everyone could have the chance to meet a guide like Libby! Joining this tour was also a wonderful way to see incredible places such as Yehliu, Shifen, and Jiufen, which would be difficult to reach all in one day without such great organization.

I had an incredible experience on the Alishan Day Tour booked via Klook in January 2026. The entire process was smooth from booking to the tour day. The pickup was punctual, and the tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about sharing the history and beauty of Alishan. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking, especially the sunrise view from the summit — a highlight of the trip! The train ride through the lush forests and the iconic Giant Tree were unforgettable moments. The weather in January was chilly but clear, perfect for sightseeing and photography. The tour included comfortable transportation, well-organized stops, and enough free time to explore each site. Overall, it exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it for anyone wanting to experience the natural wonders of Alishan with convenience and expert guidance.

We were very happy to have Dunken as our guide for the day tour to sun moon lake and Qing jing farm, wish we would give more stars for the tour guide. He was very jovial, fun and polite. He also help us and our fellow travellers to take wonderful photographs. We had a wonderful time and everything was well planned and according to schedule. Will highly recommend this tour especially with Dunken as your guide.

This tour is very laid back and relaxing. Our tour guide, Cindy, is very approachable, kind and knowledgeable. She even has pictures to show on the bus about the different places that will be visited. She is also funny and easy to talk too. I hope to go on this tour again and hope Cindy will be our tour guide again. Very happy that I booked this tour. Such a break from the bustling city of Taipei.
