Fantastic 5.0
The campsite facilities are complete and clean, and the transportation from the transfer station is convenient, about a 20-minute drive, making it excellent value for money. Even in August, it wasn't too hot at night without air conditioning. There were two cute dogs roaming around. The staff were attentive and friendly, and they even recommended some great attractions. We had a wonderful trip to Yilan! (★>U<★)

Our camping trip to Zawa Zawa was truly fantastic! The owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, as we set up our tent and organized our gear, they thoughtfully asked if we needed any help and if we had everything we needed, which made us feel very warm and cared for. During our stay, they were also very enthusiastic, inviting us to share delicious food and chatting with us. It felt less like a typical camping trip and more like relaxing at a friend's house; the atmosphere was incredibly comfortable and laid-back. Compared to many campsites where you just confirm your spot, set up your equipment, and then leave after packing up the next morning, this place offered so much more genuine hospitality. It really made a huge difference! The overall experience definitely deserves a five-star rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. We will definitely come back to camp here again if we have the chance!

I was very lucky to book the last available room on Klook, as other booking sites showed no vacancies. It's also a rare pet-friendly RV campsite! However, there are quite a few insects in nature, and small bugs occasionally appear in the room. If you're very bothered by this, you might want to reconsider. The breakfast was very generous!

One of the benefits of purchasing zoo and botanical garden tickets on the Klook platform is that upon arrival, you can immediately redeem a voucher for animal feed, allowing you to experience the joy of feeding animals right away. If you wish to feed them more, you can simply purchase additional feed on-site. The only thing I think is important to note is that different animals have different types of feed. It's necessary to find out what kind of feed the animal you most want to feed requires before redeeming your voucher. Otherwise, there's a risk that the feed you receive might not be for the animal you intended to feed.

We were lucky that the National Center for Traditional Arts had a special offer on KLOOK, a buy-one-get-one-free deal on tickets. This made it half the price of buying tickets at the venue, with some money left over. Online ticketing was very fast; we made a last-minute decision and bought the tickets online after arriving at the center's parking lot. The tickets were issued less than five minutes after booking. When we got to the entrance, it saved us the hassle of buying physical tickets. We just showed the QR code from our voucher at the entrance, and we were able to go right in!

I originally thought we'd only play for two hours, but we ended up staying for almost five! Although the park is a bit small, it has a lot of animals you can interact with and feed. If you add their official LINE account, you can get a free gashapon capsule toy coupon, and if you share and check in on Facebook, you can get a free portion of grass (for feeding the animals). The amusement area also has a marble game, a park train, and DIY activities like making dolls or taking sticker photos (the sticker photo booth has many accessories you can use, which is great). Oh, and I highly recommend the Thai milk tea capybara ice cream from the food stand; everything else was just okay. Overall, it was a very nice day ✔️

Taiping Mountain is breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful. The ticket redemption was smooth, only need to present the QR codes. I will definitely return in the near future.

Visiting the Lanyang Museum gave me a deeper understanding of Yilan's natural environment and cultural history. The museum's exterior is famous for its sloping triangular design, inspired by Yilan's common "single-sided mountain" terrain. The building itself is like a work of art, blending seamlessly with the surrounding wetland landscape, leaving a deep impression upon arrival. The museum's exhibits are rich and diverse, offering detailed introductions to everything from Yilan's geological evolution and climatic characteristics to the lifestyles of its early inhabitants. For example, through models and multimedia displays, visitors can learn about the formation process of the Lanyang Plain and how the local people developed unique lifestyles in response to the northeast monsoon and rainy climate. These exhibits are not only informative but also highly interactive, making the visit engaging. I particularly enjoyed the sections that showcase traditional industries and culture, such as fishing, agriculture, and local beliefs. These exhibits convey Yilan's profound human touch and cultural heritage. Through real object displays and recreated scenarios, it felt as if I could see the daily lives of past residents, making history more than just words in a book. Overall, the Lanyang Museum is not just a place to gain knowledge; it's also a space where one can slow down and appreciate the beauty of architecture and nature. This visit allowed me to learn more about Yilan and to cherish Taiwan's diverse and rich local culture even more. If I have the chance, I will recommend this museum to friends and family, so they can experience this educational and aesthetically pleasing museum for themselves.

We visited on Saturday, April 18, 2026. The weather was cloudy that day, but thankfully it didn't rain. The park has deer, capybaras, turtles, dogs, and donkeys. The staff put a lot of effort into designing activities, such as printing commemorative postcards, collecting stamps at each station, and finally piecing together various colors to form the park's star animal members. There's also a commemorative stamp on the back. Although the park isn't large, the staff's dedication is evident everywhere. You can replenish mosquito repellent, and at the hay distribution point, you can get a small gift by leaving a review on Facebook or Instagram. We received two cute fans that day. It's recommended to check the weather before going, as most of the park is outdoors. You can also purchase e-tickets through Klook in advance for a slightly lower price and exchange them for physical tickets at the counter upon arrival. A full-price ticket is 200 NTD, which can be exchanged for feed and hay to feed the animals. The capybaras are super cute when they eat! 🥰 There's also a small cafe within the park, and the souvenir shop at the exit has a wide array of adorable merchandise, including plush toys, cups, badges, and hats – almost anything you can imagine. Overall, the planning is excellent, and the staff are friendly and enthusiastic. We would definitely visit again if we have the chance!

What to know before visiting Yilan

Quick snapshot of Yilan County

Yilan County’s top bookings on Klook lean into nature and culture, with Zoos & aquariums, Historical sites, and Events & shows among the leading categories, plus plenty of wellness and short cruises. Demand peaks in July and falls to a low in March, giving the destination a clear high-season rhythm that shapes availability through the year.

Best times to visit and how prices move

According to Klook booking data, July is the busiest month while March sees the weakest demand. Prices fluctuate across the year: they climb toward a priciest point in January and drop to a typically low level in February, with mid-year months showing mixed pricing. If you want lower prices and smaller crowds, February and March tend to suit that aim; if you prefer the full peak-season atmosphere, plan for July. Note that demand and price don’t always move in lockstep here — the busiest month isn’t the absolute priciest, so you can sometimes find reasonable deals outside the busiest windows.

Tips for travelers from the United States

Most visitors from the United States book activities about a week ahead, so a short amount of pre-trip planning usually covers popular tours and experiences. Last-minute bookings are possible (often up to a day before), but for travel in July it’s safer to secure key activities earlier; conversely, February–March can be easier for spontaneous plans. Use Klook to check real past booking patterns and lock in the experiences you most want before peak dates fill up.
