This time we stayed in a cabin, and the facilities were quite complete. There were also many children's playrooms, and the area was very large and fun. The only downside was that the pillows were a bit too high, otherwise it would have been perfect. The cabin had air conditioning, which was very cool, and there was also a large and fun golf course.

I was drawn by the inclusion of the forest railway, so I booked a 2-day, 1-night Alishan trip (outbound: car, return: car + train). After the reservation was confirmed, I received information about what to bring and precautions via LINE. Closer to the date, I also received detailed information about the meeting point, driver's name, and vehicle number, which was reassuring. (All in Chinese, but translation software helped.) The documents provided when boarding the shuttle car also included Japanese, which was easy to understand. The guide spoke Chinese, so I needed someone to translate for me, but there was plenty of explanation time during the 2-hour hike. The paths were well-maintained with wooden decks and stone pavements, so even with my limited stamina and in the rain, I was able to walk comfortably. One word of caution: if you use a private car transfer, there's a high risk of motion sickness because the winding mountain roads have significant inclines. Even though I don't usually get car sick, I felt quite ill during the return transfer from Alishan to Fenqihu and wished I had brought motion sickness medication.

Our tour guide Jason was really nice and very accommodating. he made sure we are comfortable and well fed. we were able to see a lot of attractions and was able to do different activities. we enjoyed the short trip to alishan #JasonWolf

It was a great 2 days trip and totally worth it to go to Alishan (one day would have been too rush and not having enough time to enjoy Alishan/ Chiayi/ Taichung). Mr B. Tsai was very accommodating and flexible with itinerary, especially with kid. That’s the benefit of having private tour as we were able to change itinerary to suit us. He also dropped us off at Taoyuan airport af the end of the tour as per request. Accommodation was clean, quiet with beautiful view of tea farm. Will definitely book with them for other tours when next visit Taiwan.

I went to the location last minute and was assigned a therapist for a 100-minute foot and body massage. Overall, the service was satisfactory. I felt that this therapist was a bit new, but I believe with more practice and experience, they will become a top performer at the shop!

Great value! The room was clean, comfortable, and quite new. The only minor drawbacks were having to park in a nearby lot and the restaurant not being open yet, but everything else was excellent. It's very convenient for catching buses, renting scooters, and finding food near the station. I would definitely stay here again.

During my recent stay at the Maison de Chine Hotel Chiayi, in a Classic Twin Room, I found that despite the room type not having an external window, I didn't feel particularly confined. The room layout was very well-planned, offering spacious and comfortable accommodations. The two single beds were spaced appropriately, allowing for easy organization and movement even with a lot of luggage, making it very convenient for both leisure and business travelers.
The completeness of the in-room amenities was impressive. In addition to a bathtub, perfect for relaxing after a day of activities, there was also a capsule coffee machine, allowing coffee lovers to enjoy a rich, aromatic hot drink at any time. The hotel also demonstrated a commitment to environmental sustainability, providing glass water bottles in the room that could be refilled at water dispensers in the hallway. What was particularly noteworthy was the presence of sparkling water machines on every floor, a thoughtful touch for guests who prefer sparkling water, showcasing the hotel's attention to detail in its services.
While some public facilities and decor showed slight signs of age and weren't the most cutting-edge in design, the overall maintenance was excellent. The cleanliness of the environment and the functionality of the equipment were reassuring. Rather than striving for flashy newness, the hotel clearly focused on actual accommodation quality and a comfortable guest experience.
Furthermore, one of the hotel's greatest advantages is its prime location. It's incredibly convenient for reaching Chiayi's downtown commercial district, local food hotspots, or taking an evening stroll to the night market, saving a significant amount of travel time. Overall, the Maison de Chine Hotel offers a comfortable space, comprehensive amenities, and an excellent location, striking a good balance between price and accommodation quality. It's a lodging option in Chiayi that is definitely worth revisiting.

After booking, we informed the hotel that a birthday celebrant would be staying that month. The front desk arranged for a 4-inch cake to be placed in the room's refrigerator, which was a pleasant surprise upon check-in. The gym, afternoon tea, and breakfast were all excellent; breakfast was much better than expected. A 4-star hotel certainly doesn't disappoint. We would love to stay here again on our next visit to Chiayi.

During this stay at Talmud Hotel Chiayi, the entire hotel had been renovated, and the overall environment was bright and comfortable, with a high-ceilinged lobby that offered a great sense of space.
Initially, the room assigned had a noticeable musty smell due to high humidity. After reporting this to the hotel staff, they promptly and actively assisted in changing our room. The second room we were moved to was much improved, with both the room and bathroom kept very clean, making the overall stay much more comfortable.
Regarding parking, if the spaces next to the hotel are full, there's another parking lot on the other side, though it's a bit further away. Alternatively, guests can choose to park on the street; the hotel will fully reimburse parking fees upon presentation of the receipt, which is very convenient for guests arriving by car.
Overall, the hotel environment is bright after the renovation, the staff's attitude in resolving room issues was excellent, and the parking reimbursement is a thoughtful service.
