Fantastic 5.0
Highly recommended! Our tour guide, Carson, was very kind and friendly. He proactively helped us take photos and recommended great sights and food. Plus, he speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, which made communication very easy! Carson's time management was excellent. All group members were punctual, and no one was late, making the trip very smooth! Kyushu Zoo... being able to enjoy the air conditioning on the tour bus while watching the animals was a real treat for my parents, haha! Yufuin is definitely worth visiting. Carson's recommendations for eel rice and croquettes were delicious. You absolutely must try them! It's a shame we only had two hours... not quite enough time to explore the entire Yunotsubo Street... I hope the next trip can be scheduled for three hours! I will definitely join again!

This was a lot of fun and you do get to see a lot in one day. The only thing is you have to be mindful about your time. It can be really easy to dwell only on one area of the place you’re visiting and before you know it, your time is almost up and you have to head back to the bus. My guide was Kevin and he was wonderful! Kevin had beautiful energy, was very kind and explained everything to me in English-since I am coming from the United States. I do recommend maybe packing some snacks/food just because you can get caught up sightseeing that you may not have the chance to grab something there and also because food is not provided. Overall my favorite part is how scenic the entire trip is!

had a beautiful and amazing day visiting Yufuin, Beppu, Kinrin Lake, and Dazaifu! was the only English-speaking guest on the tour, while most of the other guests were part of the Chinese-speaking group. But thanks to our wonderful tour guide, Nana, I never felt left out or like I was on my own. Nana-san translated everything for me in English, took my phone number just in case I got or lost, made sure I had a comfy seat, and constantly checked that I was okay. She was so warm, funny, and genuinely thoughtful. She even reco a great place for ice cream at Honeybees! It honestly felt like I had my own little travel buddy for the day My fave part of the trip was Kinrin Lake. I was honestly amazed by how beautiful it was Beppu was also incredible. we couldn’t go on the Beppu Ropeway because of the weather, Dazaifu was under construction during my visit. Yufuin was probably the least enjoyable part for me because it felt quite touristy and crowded ended up having such a wonderful time.

Fantastic 5.0
this was the highlight of my trip and did not disappoint. tho i would like more time to explore the area and walk around however we had limited time (also because i booked the special lunch) also kudos to guide Ryu for actively speaking in 3 languages (japanese chinese and english) for everyone to relate on trivia about the place we went to. this is a must when you visit fukuoka. i bet it will be beautiful also when its autumn.

Fantastic 5.0
It was hot, but the weather was so nice that it made the experience even better. First, the melon ice cream and tomato cola recommended by our guide were absolutely delicious! Climbing up to the Kusasenri Observatory was a bit tiring, but once we got there, the panoramic view was amazing. It was truly refreshing and wonderful. I highly recommend that anyone visiting go up there! Although Koreans were a minority and most of the other participants were from different countries, everyone was punctual, and we were able to relax comfortably on the bus, which was great. You should definitely go on this tour. I highly recommend it!

I am glad the tour guide assigned in our trip was Daisy. She was the same guide we had last year in our Mt. Aso tour. As before, she was very nice, insightful, and helpful. She provided relevant information and information and concern to the tour participants. We had ample time to explore Beppu m.

Fantastic 5.0
Our day tour to Dazaifu, Yufuin, Kamado Jigoku, and Umi Jigoku was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. The itinerary was well-paced, giving us enough time to explore, take photos, shop, and truly enjoy each stop. A special thanks to our tour guide, Vivian, for making the experience even more memorable. She shared interesting stories and historical facts about every place we visited, which made us appreciate each destination on a deeper level. Her instructions were always clear, and she managed the schedule efficiently, ensuring we had enough free time while keeping the tour running smoothly. Vivian also went the extra mile by recommending local specialties and must-try food, helping us make the most of our visit. Her friendliness, professionalism, and genuine care for everyone in the group made the entire trip enjoyable and stress-free. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Fukuoka and Beppu. If you get Vivian as your guide, you’re in excellent hands!

Fantastic 5.0
I think this one-day tour was fantastic. Not only was the buy-one-get-one-free deal incredibly good value, but they also gave us souvenirs at the end. What I really appreciated most was not having to worry about transportation. Our tour guide was also very professional, and his English was excellent. We had foreign tourists in our group, and the guide could switch from Chinese to English instantly. His English was very pleasant to listen to. The only downside was that the flowing noodle area was closed due to an earthquake or something similar, so we didn't get to try the flowing noodles, which was a bit of a shame. Also, some group members went boating and were late, but the guide waited for them.

It was great! There were guides available who spoke Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and English, and they were all very kind and repeatedly provided information and explanations. They answered all our questions immediately and were very thorough! I was worried because lunch wasn't included, thinking, 'Does that mean I can't take the free shuttle, and I'll have to eat onigiri on the bus?' But it turned out we could use a taxi shuttle (300 yen per person) and eat at restaurants near the Volcano Museum, which was a pleasant surprise! However, the price of the restaurant meal wasn't much different from the bulgogi that comes with the included lunch, so next time I'll probably opt for the lunch. Haha. On the other hand, the restaurant next to the museum had a diverse menu, and the food was delicious! Horse meat is famous, and so is Akagyu (red cattle)... Rice is also famous for being delicious, so we tried the Wagyu donburi, horse meat yukhoe bibimbap, and ramen. The Wagyu donburi was expensive but incredibly delicious. I don't recommend the horse meat yukhoe bibimbap. It tasted good, but when the rice, sauce, yukhoe, and raw egg were mixed, it became a bit mushy. The ramen was also delicious, and the rice itself was tasty! The unlimited miso soup and rice were an added bonus! Also, the milk soft-serve ice cream and volcanic ash coffee were delicious. Kusasenri was mostly obscured by fog, which was a bit disappointing, but it was nice to smell the sulfur, and the boat experience was a lot of fun! I highly recommend the boat ride! Anyway, I had a lot of worries, but the guides were skilled at leading the tour, everything went smoothly, and the schedule was kept perfectly, which was great! I'll probably use this service again! GoGoTrip? GoGoGo? Anyway... they also explained the history and myths, which was entertaining!

What to know before visiting Yufu

Quick snapshot of Yufu and what to expect

Yufu’s Klook bookings are led by tours, cultural experiences and outdoor activities, giving the city a mix of guided sightseeing, local culture and active days out. Demand varies through the year, with clear busy and quiet seasons that shape when tours and experiences run at their liveliest.

Best months to visit and how prices move

Klook booking data shows demand peaks in June while August and September see the weakest demand. Prices on Klook are generally low through midsummer and autumn, with the dataset indicating July, August and September among the most budget-friendly months and January typically the priciest. For lower prices and smaller crowds, aim for July–September; for peak-season atmosphere and the highest activity levels, June is the month to target. Note that demand and price diverge somewhat: June is busiest while July–September are cheaper despite lower demand.

Tips for travellers from the United States

If you travel in the peak month of June, consider booking earlier (within the typical lead time) to secure popular tours; for lower prices and more flexibility, choose July–September and book a few days out. Use Klook to compare available dates and options so you can balance price and crowd levels before you go.
