Fantastic 5.0
Good room and good food, but if no private onsen, you will need to walk outdoor to the public onsen which is quite inconvenient especially when the rainy weather

Fantastic 5.0
It's very convenient; you can reach it within 10 minutes of getting off at the bus terminal. For me, both dinner and breakfast were satisfying, and the staff were very friendly. At dinner, an auntie even offered to take our picture. The hot spring area has both indoor and outdoor baths, typical of a traditional hot spring inn.

Fantastic 5.0
The hotel is quite clean and the service is top notch. When i first came in, they gave us welcoming drinks. We also rode the taxi which the hotel paid for. This is their free shuttle service. Only thing we dont like are the mosquitos inside the room and the ryokans. Overall, it was an incredible experience with private dining for breakfast and kaiseki.

Fantastic 5.0
The hotel's location is convenient and not too far from the station, in a quiet and peaceful area. I stayed for three days and two nights. I had two breakfasts and two dinners (purchased as add-ons), plus a cake (also an add-on). All four meals were different and incredibly generous. Most of the hotel staff can communicate in English, especially Daisuke and Funase, who were very polite and hospitable. The three private hot springs are beautiful, and I recommend booking them in advance. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family for a return visit! 👍🏻👍🏻

Fantastic 5.0
My overall stay was excellent, I'd give it a 99 out of 100. The remaining point is my hope that the hotel will continue to maintain its high-quality service and constantly improve. I look forward to staying again. Breakfast: Very Japanese style, delicious. Service: The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions. Convenience of Transportation: Station shuttle service is available after 3 PM - 5 PM, by reservation. Cleanliness: The room was spacious, and the hot spring bath was comfortable.

Fantastic 5.0
The environment is excellent, and the hotel breakfast is very rich and satisfying. The hotel also arranged a car to take us to the station, which was very thoughtful. The room has a private hot spring, and there are also two public-use private hot springs, which we were very pleased with.

Great 4.0
The hotel is conveniently located near Lake Kinrin, offering beautiful views of the morning mist. It features private baths, but the rooms are a bit small, which feels a little underwhelming for the price. Nevertheless, its lakeside location remains its biggest advantage.

More about Yufu hotels

What staying in Yufu feels like

Staying in Yufu shows a modest spread between budget and top-end rooms — the top tier is about 1.7 times the bottom — so moving up gets you noticeably more comfort but not an enormous leap. The best balance for most travellers sits in the standard tier, which offers the strongest value for price.

How the hotel classes compare and who they suit

Economy rooms sit at the bottom of the price range and suit travellers prioritizing affordability over extras. Standard represents the sweet spot and is where you’ll get the best value compared with economy; it’s a good match for most travellers who want comfort without a big premium. The biggest price step is from standard up to premium, so choosing premium is the main decision point — it moves you into a noticeably more upscale bracket. Luxury sits above premium with only a small further premium, aimed at travellers seeking the highest-end options.

When travellers from the United States typically book

Rates are generally lowest in 2026-04 and highest in 2026-02, so a budget-led trip is best planned for April when nightly rates have trended lower. Travellers from the United States typically book about 62 days ahead, and many lock in rooms earlier in pricier periods, so expect to book a couple of months in advance rather than at the last minute.
