Jiaoxi

The best time to visit Jiaoxi Township is from November to March, when cool weather makes hot spring bathing especially enjoyable. Spring and autumn are also good for waterfall walks and countryside trips.

Take a Taiwan Railways train from Taipei to Jiaoxi Station, or use intercity buses from Taipei via the Hsuehshan Tunnel. Many hot spring hotels are within walking distance or a short taxi ride from the station.

Walk around the hot spring district, use local buses or taxis for Wufengqi Waterfall and nearby trails, and take trains to Toucheng or Luodong. Scooter rental is useful for experienced riders planning rural stops.

Stay near Jiaoxi Station and Tangweigou Hot Spring Park for the easiest access to restaurants, footbaths, and bathhouses. Resort hotels on the town edge are better for quieter stays and private hot spring rooms. Families may prefer properties with larger rooms and in-house pools.
