Overall it was a great trip. The whole day was overcast. Mt Asp unfortunately was foggy and we can’t see much. Additionally, I’ve booked the boat ride but the water was high and we weren’t allowed to do any boating activities therefore, the whole thing will be refunded as per what being said to us.

Our tour guide, Sun Peng, was humorous and engaging, making the trip very enjoyable. He provided thorough explanations at each location and even pointed out great spots for photos, demonstrating true professionalism. On this trip, we visited: Takachiho Railway (at the highest point, a young man blows bubbles before the train returns; personally, I don't think it's a must-do), Takachiho Gorge (you can see beautiful scenery from above without needing to row a boat, and the miso grilled dango there is delicious), Kamishikimi Kumanoimasu Shrine (a mysterious forest shrine that is incredibly beautiful and definitely worth the climb; the water there is safe and very refreshing to drink), and Kusasenri (where you can see Mount Aso and enjoy matcha pudding). The entire trip was very worthwhile, though I only wish we had more time at each stop.

This was a lot of fun and you do get to see a lot in one day. The only thing is you have to be mindful about your time. It can be really easy to dwell only on one area of the place you’re visiting and before you know it, your time is almost up and you have to head back to the bus. My guide was Kevin and he was wonderful! Kevin had beautiful energy, was very kind and explained everything to me in English-since I am coming from the United States. I do recommend maybe packing some snacks/food just because you can get caught up sightseeing that you may not have the chance to grab something there and also because food is not provided. Overall my favorite part is how scenic the entire trip is!

It was a wonderful experience. The scenic spots were beautiful, and I took many great photos. Most importantly, our tour leader, KC, was truly professional. The day before the activity, she messaged us to remind us to bring heatstroke prevention items because of the hot weather. Today, she thoughtfully introduced each attraction we visited and even provided reference photos, showing us the best photo spots at each location. She proactively helped us take pictures, allowing us to capture many beautiful moments. She also took the initiative to pre-order and pick up our meals, saving us time waiting in line and giving us more time to explore. Her service was incredibly thoughtful. Driver Master Yu's driving skills were excellent. Because of the hot weather, Master Yu always turned on the air conditioning for us before we got into the car. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended! Our tour guide, Carson, was very kind and friendly. He proactively helped us take photos and recommended great sights and food. Plus, he speaks English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, which made communication very easy! Carson's time management was excellent. All group members were punctual, and no one was late, making the trip very smooth! Kyushu Zoo... being able to enjoy the air conditioning on the tour bus while watching the animals was a real treat for my parents, haha! Yufuin is definitely worth visiting. Carson's recommendations for eel rice and croquettes were delicious. You absolutely must try them! It's a shame we only had two hours... not quite enough time to explore the entire Yunotsubo Street... I hope the next trip can be scheduled for three hours! I will definitely join again!

had a beautiful and amazing day visiting Yufuin, Beppu, Kinrin Lake, and Dazaifu! was the only English-speaking guest on the tour, while most of the other guests were part of the Chinese-speaking group. But thanks to our wonderful tour guide, Nana, I never felt left out or like I was on my own. Nana-san translated everything for me in English, took my phone number just in case I got or lost, made sure I had a comfy seat, and constantly checked that I was okay. She was so warm, funny, and genuinely thoughtful. She even reco a great place for ice cream at Honeybees! It honestly felt like I had my own little travel buddy for the day My fave part of the trip was Kinrin Lake. I was honestly amazed by how beautiful it was Beppu was also incredible. we couldn’t go on the Beppu Ropeway because of the weather, Dazaifu was under construction during my visit. Yufuin was probably the least enjoyable part for me because it felt quite touristy and crowded ended up having such a wonderful time.

This Itoshima day trip was one of the highlights of our stay in Fukuoka. Every stop had something unique to offer. The itinerary was well-paced, giving us enough time to explore, take photos, and simply enjoy the scenery without feeling rushed. A special thank you to our guide, Chen, for making the experience even better. The instructions were always clear, meeting points were easy to follow, and the tour stayed on schedule while still allowing us to enjoy every stop. What I appreciated most was Chen’s attentiveness and genuine care for the group. His professionalism and positive attitude made the trip smooth, relaxing, and enjoyable from start to finish. If you’re looking for an easy and memorable way to explore Itoshima, I highly recommend this tour. The beautiful destinations, seamless organization, and excellent service from Chen made it a five-star experience.

This was a really cost effective way for our family of 4 to see Takachiho Gorge, which was absolutely worth the trip and a highlight of our holiday. Our tourguide Daisy was organised, friendly, spoke in both English and Chinese and we had a good understanding of where we needed to go and meet at the end of each section of the day. We opted to go on the sightseeing train which took you over a beautiful valley (and was alarmingly high up), and the Takachiho row boats - a treat for the senses. A highly recommended trip. Some sections required a fair bit of walking so sensible shoes are a must, and the coach journey takes a while so a neck pillow and travel snacks were a godsend!

Amano Iwato Shrine, the pink train, and Takachiho Gorge offer incredibly beautiful natural scenery. Lush greenery, moss, waterfalls, and gorge boating provide a refreshing escape from the heat of Fukuoka, allowing you to fully enjoy the cool Kyushu air. Today, our guide, CoCo, introduced us to local specialties, products, must-see photo spots, and various delicious foods. We tried Miyazaki beef sandwiches (I thought they were just okay because there wasn't enough beef, haha), Miyazaki mango ice cream (at this time of year, only frozen mango is available, so it wasn't very sweet), and a juice called Hyuganatsu (sweet and sour, very refreshing!). We also had horse sashimi skewers and horse flank soup (highly recommended! Very fragrant, fresh, and delicious. I hadn't eaten horse meat before, but it tastes like beef). Also, it gets very sunny on the train, so definitely listen to CoCo and bring a towel or hat! Although the round trip from Fukuoka to Miyazaki is long, there was ample time to enjoy each attraction on the itinerary, so it didn't feel rushed. CoCo managed the time perfectly, and the other travelers in our group were also very punctual. I was a bit disappointed that we couldn't get boat tickets for Takachiho Gorge, but admiring the waterfalls and boats from above the gorge, and visiting Takachiho Shrine, was still an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this day trip to anyone who wants to experience the stunning natural beauty of Kyushu.
