What is the New York City Museum Pass?

Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)
The MoMA is arguably the finest collection of art in New York. The museum has six floors of nothing but masterpieces! Here you’ll find Claude Monet’s Reflections of Clouds on the Water-Lily Pond, Pablo Picasso’s Les Demoiselles d’Avignon, and Salvador Dali’s Persistence of Memory. Of course, we can’t forget about the jewel of the crown, Van Gogh’s Starry Night, located at Gallery 1. Plus, the museum is located in Midtown, so it’s really easy to visit!
The museum currently does not have COVID-19 restrictions. Vaccinations and face coverings are not required but recommended. The cloakroom is currently closed and all items bigger than 11 × 17 × 5” (28 × 43 × 13 cm) are not permitted inside.

The Whitney Museum of American Art
Want a glimpse of the local and current art scene? Head to the Whitney, one of New York City’s best art museums. Featuring 20th century and contemporary pieces by American artists, you’ll see commentary on the country’s current and past events by its biggest artists. Admire Edward Hopper’s Soir Bleu, Jasper Johns’ Racing Thoughts, and other thought-provoking pieces in the form of paintings, sculptures, and exhibits.
The museum currently does not have COVID-19 restrictions. Vaccinations and face coverings are not required but highly encouraged. Backpacks bigger than 11 × 15 × 5 must be checked along with large umbrellas. Bicycles and scooters are not allowed inside the premises.

The Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum
For something that’s a little bit different, spend time at the Intrepid Museum and marvel at actual planes and ships used in wars, like the USS Intrepid which was used in WWII. As you walk by the aircraft carriers and vessels, you’ll discover how technology has improved over the years. It’s not just all about watercrafts and aircrafts. You can also see a prototype of NASA’s Enterprise, which paved the way for future space trips.
The museum currently does not have COVID-19 restrictions. Vaccinations and face coverings are not required but recommended. During your visit, you’ll find sanitizing stations all throughout the museum and signage to help with social distancing. The Intrepid Museum doesn’t offer any baggage storage.

The National 9/11 Memorial Museum
Get a close look at two of the darkest days in American history when you visit the 9/11 Museum in New York City. Located at the site of the Twin Towers, the museum-slash-memorial tells the story of the 9/11 attacks and the 1993 World Trade Center bombings from the side of the locals. Learn how the events changed the course of American history and the importance of remembering.
Masks are still required for indoor guided tours and auditorium programs, but optional for the rest of the museum’s locations. The coat check is currently closed and all oversized items are not allowed inside the museum.

Museum of the City of New York (MCNY)
