    1. Food: Let’s fill your bellies with drool-worthy Thai food! 🥘

    Different dishes on a table
Taste Thailand through authentic local cuisine like tom yum (hot and sour Thai soup), Thai pineapple fried rice, pad thai (stir-fried rice noodles), and green curry! Some award-winning restaurants include Jeh O Chula in Siam where they serve the best tom yum noodles in town called “Mama Oh Ho” and other fresh seafood dishes packed with shrimp and lobster and Moreganic Restaurant in Away Chiang Mai Thapae Resort where you can get mostly healthy food options like pad thai, grilled mushroom sandwich, and the famous mango sticky rice. 🥭
Different tea snacks on a table
We also have something for those who want to try some fancy Thai cuisine — Market Cafe by Khao at Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit. Here, you can choose if you want to try their afternoon tea or Thai set dinner. If you choose afternoon tea, make sure to try some of their specialties like Ka Nom Chun (Thai steamed layered dessert) and Kanom Krok (coconut rice pancake with toppings - curry crab, dried shrimp, minced pork, taro, pumpkin, or sweet corn). Those who’ll choose to avail the Thai set dinner, get ready to taste flavorful dishes like Phad Gaprao Nua (chicken or beef stir fry) and Moo Hong Yum Mamoang (stewed pork). 🍽
Thailand is definitely a must-visit destination if you’re down to taste a burst of flavors in each dish that will leave your taste buds wanting more!
Klook Tip: Don’t miss out on these must-try Thai street foods — moo ping (grilled pork skewers), som tam (Thai-style green papaya salad), poh pia tod (spring rolls), and more!

    2. Film: Do these places seem familiar? 🎬

Thai cinema has been on the rise in the past years and it sure has helped in promoting the country’s culture and traditions. If you love Thai shows as much as we do, then it must be a dream to visit some of the attractions that you’ve seen on screen! In the drama “I Told Sunset About You,” we’ve seen how beautiful Phuket is — sunsets by the beach, aesthetic cafes and restaurants, well-structured shrines, and the iconic Old Phuket Town. Each of Teh and Oh-aew’s scenes in Phuket was displayed beautifully through great cinematography. Don’t you just want to explore Phuket the way they did?
    Boats floating on clear waters
For those who have time to spare to see more of Phuket, be sure to drop by Siam Niramit Phuket to see traditional performances showcasing Thai culture and history, and an elephant jungle sanctuary to meet adorable and gentle giants that will steal your heart for sure!

Another must-watch is Love Destiny, a Thai show that takes pride in showing the charismatic city of Ayutthaya. This show was loved by so many that people did not only want to visit Ayutthaya but also dress up like the main characters, in traditional Thai clothes! In the drama, they showed the city’s majestic temples and lively floating markets. But there’s more to Ayutthaya for you to explore, like Wat Phra Si Sanphet, Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, Ayutthaya Night Market, and Busaba Cafe & Bake Lab.

    3. Festival: Celebrate like a local! 🎊

Festivals in Thailand are like no other — colorful, bright, welcoming, and really big! Millions of people fly to Thailand just to experience the country’s festivals that are open to everyone, no matter where you’re from. Some notable festivals in Thailand are the Songkran water festival, Loy Krathong lantern festival, and Chiang Mai flower festival. Aside from loads of fun that you’ll get from these festivals, you’ll get to know more about the country’s cultural heritage and its people as well!
    📍Upcoming festival: Yi Peng festival
    When: November 2023
    Where: Chiang Mai

    4. Fight: Complete your Thai trip and watch a Muay Thai match! 🥊

    Two men boxing
Watching a Muay Thai match is another cultural experience that you have to do when in Thailand! Muay Thai is Thailand’s national sport so watching one (or even trying it out at a gym in Thailand) is an experience that will make your Thailand trip one for the books. Get ready to cheer your heart out and maybe pick up a skill or two from the players that you’ll watch. If you feel like you need more Muay Thai in your life after watching a match, try joining a Muay Thai class to learn from professionals!

    5. Fashion: Dress up in Thai costume and make Thailand your runway! 💃🏻

When traveling, we love to plan our OOTDs so we can snap our best memories for keeps and share them on our social media accounts. Good thing Thailand has quite a lot of photogenic spots perfect for anyone looking to match their outfits depending on the destination they’re going to for the day! If you want only the best photos, we highly recommend renting a Thai costume made out of hand-dyed Thai silk, woven using the country’s ancient method, with colorways that really bring out Thailand’s traditional clothing style.
Now that you have an idea of where to go and what to do on your next Thailand trip, make sure to remember the 5Fs when planning your itinerary — food, film, festival, fight, and fashion! Safe travels! ✈️
