Beitou Water House Hot Spring and Bathhouse Experience in Taipei

Return visit after two years. As far as I recall, everything is the same except the baths do look two years older and the cold bath is no longer as cold. It used to be ~10 degrees (iirc) but it is now (estimated) 20-25 degrees (the thermometer has been removed). If you like being alone, I was the only customer past 6pm on a weekday. For the price, it is worth coming here for your first hot spring experience in Beitou but I’ll probably try a new hot spring for my next visit in the future. Good experience (:

first time at this onsen. I thought that I had booked 3pm . instead I booked 3am instead. When we arrived , we were told that we already missed our appointment! They were very gracious to let us have our soaking private room session with no extra charges. Beautiful view and wonderful experience. will come back

Water House is located a 10-minute walk from Xinbeitou Station. The staff speaks English well. I called in advance from Korea to make a reservation, but when I told them I would be there around 7 p.m., they said there was no need to make a reservation at that time and just come. The schedule was changed on the day I arrived, so I arrived around 2:30 PM and was able to enter. As we entered, there were a lot of Korean mothers waiting in line. There was a restroom with guaranteed privacy on the left side of the entrance! I can see the bathhouse. Up to 2 people can enter at the same time. There are basic shower tools, but it is better to bring cleansing foam separately. There is a 110v outlet next to the bathtub for easy charging, so if you bring a pig nose, you can charge your phone. However, you must be careful of electric shock, right? Slightly cloudy sulfur water. The smell of sulfur wasn't as strong as I thought, so I was skeptical that it was sulfur water, but I'm satisfied because my skin felt soft right after bathing in the hot spring. I won the Juldae Cafe event and went there with Klook support. Hot springs are more expensive in Taiwan than in Japan, and especially in Beitou, which is close to Taipei, everything including lodging and hot springs is expensive. I wanted to go to the Water House because I heard it was remodeled in 2019, but there is a slight discount after 18:00. There were 5-6 people, but since it was past 20:00, everyone went out and I was able to take pictures of the public bathhouse. Most public baths don't have windows, so it's stuffy, but this one has an open feel, so the bath next to the window is semi-open-air with your feet hanging out. There are 4 baths (1 cold bath) and 5 showers. There is a sunbed to rest on inside, and it is nice that towels, hair caps, and unlimited bottled water are provided. The water quality was good, so my skin became smooth after taking the hot springs. I recommend it.

It seem to be small on the room as we choose one is without any bed and the spring tub water also don’t know is it the real spring water or not cause we also don’t know how to know is tap water or spring water haha

The view was spectacular. And the place was easy to find. Staff there were helpful. I would definitely recommend this hot spring experience to other people!

best hotspring in beitou. east to use and staffs are accomodating. afternoon tea is amazing (though oven warmed foods) but exceeded our expectations. must try!

The booking process was seamless but it could be better if they allow pre-reservations to take place before going. Other than that, the service provided was great

Went on Tuesday late morning and the whole place was not packed with people. Room was well maintained and clean. Enjoyed the dip and view from room.
