A truly beautiful place! The guide, Vincent, was very friendly and gave us an introduction on every location in both English and Mandarin Chinese. He's also a surprisingly fast walker and you can catch him waiting at different locations to show you how to take good photographs and introducing the sights. The timing of the trip is fast-paced, but sufficient to enjoy everything. Even though it's a guided tour, I also appreciated that we didn't have to constantly stay together as a group and they gave quite a bit of freedom to explore by yourself as long as you kept to the timing. Quite a bit of walking is required for the whole trip, like ~7km, so be aware of that, although some parts of it can be considered optional. You'll probably get very good sleep at night if you do walk the whole thing. We went in December so the weather was decently cool. Also got lucky because the skies were clear and we managed to take nice photographs.
This tour is the highlight of our trip in Taiwan. From the narrow canyon of Swallow Grotto, where the Liwu River has carved an almost gravity defying slot through the Earth, to the towering waterfalls of Baiyang, known to the Truku tribe as da-ou-la-ss, “waterfall of the cliffs”, the rich geologic diversity of Taroko Gorge make it one of the more surprising National Parks in Taiwan, that never ceases to amaze. My family love this place so much and will definitely coming here again one day.
this was a really great way to see the sights of taroko gorge. Alicia was really great and she was able to communicate in both mandarin and English which is helpful for foreigners. prepare to do ALOT of walking and wear comfortable shoes. some people decided not to do some but I would recommend you do it all as it is all worth it. you won’t regret it at the end of the day. wear warm clothes especially for the beach if visiting during winter
Jack Lin was a delightful tourguide. He is very knowledgeable about the Gorge and is mindful of the time. There were no mishaps and I strongly recommend getting this tour. Taroko Gorge is too beautiful!
This tour was incredible and our guide, Jack really made it a memorable day tour. He joined us at each location offering bits of information at each stop while also giving us the option to explore on our own. He was beyond thorough, creating a chat with supplemental information about each place as well as details about the itinerary the day before. Got to explore lots of highlight spots in Taroko national park just in this one day trip! Views were amazing, all trails were beginner friendly, lots of restroom opportunities, and can buy lunch in the park with the assistance of the guide!
The most beautiful national park I’ve ever seen! The trip was definitely worth the money, we had a number of stop offs and were able to walk at our own paces depending on fitness level and take in the sights. Our guide Jack was friendly and gave a lot of information about the geography of the park which was interesting. Consider taking a packed lunch if you are picky with food as the lunch option was very limited. Overall great day! Definitely would recommend
very well organized. guide is bilingual, English is good enough to understand. we visited the key locations in taroko park with sufficient time for each location.
I'm a solo traveller and I'm very happy that I signed up for this tour. It's almost impossible to tour the huge Taroko alone by foot or public transportation within a day. The sceneries of the differeng sites are breath-taking and amazing. The tour guide, Alicia, is very experienced and approachable. She shared a lot of stories and insights of the national park. I will recommend this tour to my friends who are visiting Hualien.
This tour is excellent. Alicia She was our tour guide, and she did a phenomenal job alternating between English and Mandarin to introduce the history and culture of the areas we visited. The itinerary enabled us to visit an impressive number of sites without feeling rushed. Lunch was not included, however, Alicia took us to a nice spot with a variety of options, including Taiwanese and Aboriginal cuisine. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Taroko National Park for the first time!
best tour ever! Jason, our guide, was very knowledgeable, caring, friendly, nice guy from the area. we went to all the best spots, every place just got better and better! the sights were absolutely mind blowing, photos just don’t do the place justice at all! every corner we turned we were in amazement. this tour was such a good price for the what we got. I am truely thankful to the company and especially to Jason.
