Taipei Departure: Hualien Car Rental with Driver to Taroko Gorge/Qingshui Cliffs

We booked a Chinese-speaking driver but they still sent Eric who speaks excellent English. He was on-time, drives very safely, engaging, funny, polite, and takes great pictures. He doesn't rush us. He also followed our itinerary and even brought us to a secret spot where there are no tourists. He was an excellent tour guide. They sent a Tesla for the tour which was an unexpected bonus. We felt like VVIPs.

The mesmerizing landscapes of Taroko Gorge left me awe-inspired during my recent trip. Towering marble cliffs, lush greenery, and the Liwu River's crystal-clear waters created a breathtaking symphony of nature. Hiking the trails, especially the Shakadang and Swallow Grotto, offered unparalleled views, making it a must-visit destination for any nature enthusiast. The spiritual ambiance around the Eternal Spring Shrine added a cultural touch to the overall experience. Taroko Gorge is a true masterpiece of natural beauty.

We are blessed to have Cola 可樂 as our driver. He made sure we had time to enjoy the sight. Not only arriving early in the morning, we also had break during the journey to Taroko. Overall, the ride was enjoyable. The driver was punctual, and the car was clean. I requested an English-speaking driver but he spoke very little English, but we managed with Google Translate. So on that point, not worth going with Eng option. There was a moment of uncertainty about a stop, but it all worked out in the end. The driver was accommodating to our last-minute change in plans, making it a pleasant journey overall. Thank you.

The driver is very good, he will give an introduction, and he will also take us to places that are not on the itinerary. The journey will take more than 2 hours, and the return journey will be blocked. It will take more than 3 hours. It is recommended to start early. I set off at 6:30am.

I did a private tour of Taroko last Saturday. I've looked into many Taroko tours before the trip, but if you have children or parents, I highly recommend a private tour. If there are several people, it is good in terms of price compared to bus and train tours. I was able to enjoy the Raohe Night Market as they departed from the accommodation and took me to the place I wanted after the tour. Our guide, Junseung Wang, was in charge of us. I'm really satisfied. He speaks Korean very well, and he helped me see all the places in Taroko by checking the time and adjusting the schedule. Even a 10-year-old child enjoyed the canyon tour very much because the travel time was convenient. Be sure to try the Taroko private tour, which is also easily accessible from Taipei. This was my first time going to Taroko National Park but my 3rd time using Mr Stephen's services. Absolutely amazing experience. Mr Stephen is very friendly and professional. During the necessary parts of the tour he let me borrow his flashlight and a rain poncho in order to stay safe and dry. I cannot recommend this enough, it is a must see part of any Taiwan vacation, even if only for a day.
