4/14 Thanks to God for the good weather, we started traveling as soon as we arrived at the station! The driver Huang Junhao was on time. He was like an older brother who I had known for a long time. He greeted me warmly and cordially at the station gate. Although there was a small incident and he twisted his foot during the pick-up process, he still provided good service. The first stop is Liyu Lake. Not only can you take a walk around the lake, but what’s more interesting is to row an electric swan boat. The lake is sparkling and surrounded by mountains. It’s really relaxing to enjoy the lake view while feeling the breeze! Then we visited the Yunshanshui Natural Ecological Park, which is like a secret place. It is full of greenery and blue lakes. It also houses many unique homestays with a full sense of design. Every photo you take will be a beauty photo for the internet. You can upload the photos and check in directly! Don’t miss the Hualien local classic during afternoon tea time: Gongzheng Baozi - piping hot, chewy skin and fragrant filling, it’s really worth the queue! Amei Mochi - Bring a few boxes home to honor your family, a must-buy every time you come here! We chartered the car for half a day, I liked the pace very much, I really recommend it
although the driver can't speak English, overall she was kind, friendly and try to explain everything. She help us to find restautant for lunch, and try to do her best to fullfill our itinerary. For info, in Hualien there isn't many people can speak English, so make sure you have google lens to translate, especially when you want to order menu or buy something in 7/11, family market, etc
Within eight hours, our driver Mr. Wu Shoulang took us to many places, including many places where we did not do our homework! Uncle Wu was very humorous and kept explaining to us along the way, very meticulously! You have plenty of time at your disposal, and the itinerary will be adjusted based on actual time conditions along the way. Although Taroko and Qingshui Cliff were no longer accessible after the earthquake, Uncle Wu still gave us suggestions and the best one-day trip experience, leaving us with unforgettable memories! Thank you very much Uncle Wu for his friendliness, enthusiasm and professionalism😄
Apparently, this tour doesnt allow you to customise your itinerary. We have to choose from one of the 3 packages provided, thus we didnt get to visit a few locations we initially planned for. We opted for the valley tour and it wasn't fun at all. We went for a coastal tour a day before and it was beautiful, booked through another tour option. But we ended up with the same driver for 2 consecutive days, partly cos all options under klook go through the same tour agency at hualien and it was cny period.
cheap price...As for the service, it depends on your luck and what kind of driver you meet.
