Traveler reviews
This was the best experience in Taipei with a beautiful scenic ride. It's a long ride over lush mountains and city views. There are great views of the Taipei skyline and nature, especially on clear days. The ride itself is smooth and relaxing, and it's not too shaky for most of the journey. It's a unique experience compared to typical city attractions. There's also an optional upgrade to a glass-bottom crystal cabin with a see-through floor, which offers a more thrilling perspective. The area is also famous for its tea houses and numerous ice cream stores that offer tea-flavored ice cream.
The Maokong Gondola was one of the highlights of my trip to Taiwan! The ride was smooth, relaxing, and offered stunning panoramic views of the mountains and city.Reaching the tea houses at the top was definitely worth it and a must for a relaxing afternoon tea.
First time riding a cable car and it was fun! We upgraded to crystal cabin which was nice as we were able to see what’s down below. We enjoyed the view in which we were able to see the Taipei 101 tower and other buildings as well as greeneries. We also explored the Taipei Zoo where we saw a lot of animals specially the famous panda!
We bought the 3 cats combo ticket and chose the small sealed tea DIY experience. We didn't have time to get off at Zhinan Temple Station since we spent more time at the Zoo. We saw alot of active animals. Walking around the tea farm was peaceful and the ice cream was perfect for a hot day. The typhoon shelter spare ribs from Red Wood House were delicious. I will definitely rebook to check out the temple. Upgrading to a crystal cabin is easy and only one way.
Never go to Taiwan without booking this. It’s honestly one of the best experiences, and it’s super hassle-free when you book it through Klook. You just go there, scan the QR code, and you’re good to go. If you want to ride the Crystal Cabin, you can simply request it on-site. There’s an additional fee, but it’s definitely worth it. I’m not sure if it was just me, but I noticed that the standard cabin has animal stickers on the glass that slightly block the view, while the Crystal Cabin doesn’t. The Crystal Cabin is especially worth it when going up because the travel time from the starting line to Maokong Gondola is longer, so you get to enjoy the view even more.
we upgraded to crystal I think where you can also see below and regular one going back. it was sooo fun and heartwarming experience. a must if you visit Taiwan. pls also try the food once you stop by the last station bc its too good especially the grilled bbqs and green tea ice cream! + cute fluffy cats u randomly pass by. still dreaming of this trip.
it was a nice experience especially when you went early since the cabin was used solely for the my sister and me. as afternoon came more and more are present so we shared with an elderly couple its not bad since they also there enjoying the scenery. its also easy to book the only hiccup we experience was the validity we thought we booked on the day itself instead of the day after so we cancelled and rebooked still with the same date only to find out its a whole year (365 days) validity. thankfully they refunded our cancelled booked so we where able to spend it on other offerings they have. expect to not have to many attractions but a few miles ahead there are different tea shops which are cosy you could spend an entire day just admiring the view of taipei 101 feom the shops there. definitely recommended booking here and the gondola ride.
Klook always makes my travel so smooth. This ticket enabled me to access all 3 stations from Taipei Zoo to Maokong station. This is highly recommended for those who wants to experience a gondola ride hassle free.
