We had a great day exploring Kyoto with Michiko. she was a very kind lady and full of local information. She had a perfect itinerary scheduled and adapted it on the go to fit our needs. We would definitely recommend her and her services to anyone looking to explore Kyoto.

With one day to spend in Kyoto a guide was the best way to go. Michael was fantastic and Kyoto was breathtaking! Michael showed us many highlights was engaging, energetic and communicative well before we ever arrived. He connected with our 10 and 11 year old which enriched their experience as well. Thank you Michael for introducing us to one of your favorite restaurants. Our mouths are still watering. Kyoto is abundant in beauty, landscape, architecture and history. We cannot wait to return.

Milo is a good, interesting guide who will not let you get bored during the excursion. My son was in Kyoto for the first time and for this acquaintance with the city was very informative. The most important thing in the heat of 40 degrees Milo took us to places where you can also take a break, drink local soft drinks and have a good and tasty lunch. We were not bored. If you need a bright guide with a good sense of humor and who knows the history of the city well, then I can definitely recommend Milo.

Etsuko was an amazing guide, she was very patient and obliging to our every need. She was very knowledgeable and adapted the tour to make sure we weren’t covering anything we had already seen. If you want to make the most of your Kyoto trip, spending time with a local is will elevate your experience. If you are on the fence about booking then I would say go for it. We had a great experience touring Kyoto with Alex! We learned so much at a very enjoyable pace. We spent time seeing sites we prioritized and saw many other unexpected places too! 100% Recommend!

Etsuko met us at Kyoto station, she was amazing at navigating us through the various stations and platforms, We visited Fushimi Inari Taisha where she answered any questions we had and gave us information on the history. We then went to Nishiki Market for lunch and to look in the stalls, it was great to have a local to translate with some of the vendors, and also to provide us with information on the various stalls. After lunch and a shop we went to Kenninji Temple where Etsuko explained and guided us through. We then caught a taxi back to Kyoto Station which was great having Etsuko there to translate, and even after arriving at the station she guided us to the correct train to return back to our accommodation! I highly recommend this guided tour to any first time visitors to Japan as the stresses of navigation around the city are completely taken care of, you can just enjoy the day! 11/10
