I absolutely loved this tour! The Li River and the incredible karst mountains around Guilin are breathtakingly beautiful and truly something everyone should see at least once. A special thank you to our guide - she was amazing! I was the only foreign tourist in the group, and she was incredibly attentive throughout the entire trip. She regularly sent me all the important information separately via WeChat, which made everything very easy and comfortable for me. She also made sure I always knew where to go and never got lost. Another lovely touch was that during the trip she kept offering us different local snacks and interesting things to try. It made the experience feel even more welcoming and personal. Everything was very well organized, the scenery was spectacular, and the guide made the experience even better. One of the highlights of my trip to Guilin. Highly recommended!

Mr Ye was very friendly and welcoming throughout our trip. He introduced us to a variety of delicious local cuisines and recommended a local restaurant where we had some incredibly delicious fish. He also kindly helped us buy some local mangoes, which were so sweet and tasty! We truly enjoyed our day trip to Yangshuo, and his hospitality made the experience even more memorable. The driver was very punctual and drove smoothly, sharing introductions along the way about Guilin's local characteristics, agricultural products, development history, and the history and background of the Yao and Zhuang ethnic groups. Once inside the scenic area, he also introduced the four terraced fields one by one. Out of the eight people in the van, six went to see the long-hair performance at Hongyao Village, and everyone enjoyed it immensely. Afterward, we had lunch at a restaurant in Hongyao Village. While the food was quite good, it was served very slowly, which cut into the time available for viewing the terraced fields. We recommend heading up to the terraced fields earlier to have lunch at one of the viewing platforms. The Jinkeng Rice Terraces are magnificent and breathtakingly beautiful. We had two hours, which included taking the cable car up to the viewing platform, enjoying the scenery, taking photos, and then taking the cable car back down. We didn't visit during peak season, yet the cable car line took 15 minutes, and the ride itself lasted about 20 minutes each way. This left us with only about 50 minutes at the viewing platform, which felt way too short. If time permits, an ideal approach is to take the cable car up to the viewing platform and then walk back down. This allows you to take in the panoramic view from above while also experiencing firsthand what it feels like to be right among the terraces. The only downside this time was that the vehicle was small and the seat cushions were uncomfortable. There were four tall people in our group who had nowhere to put their knees.

Well-planned one-day itinerary. Cable car saves energy with panoramic terrace views. Authentic local bamboo rice and farmhouse meals. A perfect mix of nature and ethnic culture!

The tour guide was so helpful and kind. I was the only foreigner and didn't really understand Chinese but she used translator to explain about the tour schedule so that I didn't get confused throughout the tour. She kept checking me if I understood and talked nicely towards me, so I felt very comfortable and enjoyed the tour very much. This tour has become one of the most memorable experience in my life thanks to that sweet guide. Thank you so much and I highly recommend the tour!

Sally and Bruce from Klook did an excellent job arranging our customized tour. The hotels we stayed at we very conveniently located and quite nice. Mr. Jiang who was our tour guide did an amazing job driving us around and explaining the history and culture of Guilin and Yangshuo. I would thoroughly recommend him as he was the best tour guide we had on our entire trip.

Despite it being the peak of Golden Week congestion, we were able to communicate via WeChat from discussing the meeting point the day before to the bus pickup for our return, making our cruise very comfortable. The onboard meals were also plentiful and satisfying. However, in China, all minor communications are done through WeChat, so it might be quite inconvenient if you don't register for WeChat in advance.

Wonderful and comfortable seats. Very yummy lunch. Great and detailed commentaries to help visualize the beautiful mountains which passed by in the cruise.

This is an absolute must-do experience if you find yourself in Yangshuo. We started the activities as soon as we arrived with the Didi (it's about 9 miles from the city), and they immediately gave us a warm welcome, providing us with bamboo hats and baskets for the leaves. They explained how and which leaves to pick, showing us the rows available to us, and even gave us some tips on where to take the best photos. After we finished picking, we returned to the starting point, and they showed us how to process the freshly picked leaves to turn them into tea. Afterward, they baked the processed leaves and took us to a tasting/lesson on the various types of tea they produce and others. At the end, they gave us the tea we had just made, ready to be steeped, in sealed bags with their brand. There's an option to stay for a meal (highly recommended), and there's also a large retail area selling their own products and teas, which, of course, we purchased.
