Kurokawa Onsen is a hot spring town in Japan. It's in the middle of Kyushu, about 20 kilometers north of Mount Aso. The town has charming streets lined with traditional inns, small bathhouses, cute shops, and cafes. There's even a small shrine and charming bridges that lead right to the Ryokan inns over the river. Walking through the town is a lot of fun, especially in the simple yukata robes and wooden sandals that your ryokan gives you. But there's more! Kurokawa is famous for its outdoor baths and traditional inns, perfect for relaxing in warm, healing waters while surrounded by beautiful nature. That's why many people like to go "onsen hopping" in Kurokawa. You can try different hot springs using a special pass that lets you visit lots of baths, including foot baths, private open-air baths, and even a cave bath. You can easily get to Kurokawa Onsen by taking a highway bus from Aso Station or Hakata Station, so it's perfect for a day trip or an overnight stay. It's the perfect getaway from busy city life, offering a refreshing hot spring retreat.

Thanks to our tour guide Xiaoxue for hosting us. Although the volcano was not open and it was raining heavily, we temporarily changed our trip to another shrine and went to Kusasenri for a great coffee at a discounted price. It was a satisfying trip.

Enjoy a relaxing trip! Since the journey is quite long, you can rest on the bus for a good portion of the time. Mount Aso is magnificent and the only volcano in Japan that you can climb to the crater, but whether the crater is open depends on luck.

This trip was great. We met in the morning and went straight to Aso Mt. We were lucky enough to be able to enter the volcano that day. The tour guide was very enthusiastic. We could choose to end the trip at Kumamoto Castle! Great!

Very rich itinerary. The tour guide was Shi Dao, who has lived in Japan for many years. He gave us a lot of introductions on the way and shared his feelings in Japan sincerely. The volcano was successfully opened to the blue light, and it rained heavily after the last itinerary. So lucky! Overall, it exceeded expectations! !

It was a very smooth and convenient journey. When we set out, we were told that the crater had not been open this week due to weather reasons. Unexpectedly, we saw the crater very smoothly on the day. The tour guide Lina explained everything in detail and enthusiastically. I highly recommend it.
