Wonderful experience! I warmly recommend this tour. Jessie was amazing! A wealth of knowledge, interesting, funny, and witty. She shared lots of fascinating tidbits and fun facts, not only about the Summer Palace but also about Chinese culture as a whole. She was very calm and never in a hurry, allowing us to enjoy the tour to the fullest. Her English was perfect, and she was very enjoyable company. If you’re planning a tour here, ask for her, believe me (I tried more guided tours here in china), it’s totally worth it!!

Overall an amazing experience! The boat trip was not as special as we had quite expected, but the entrance through the South Ruyi gate was amazing! It was really easy, quick and the walk along the lake was super peaceful and quiet. We enjoyed the nature and scenery a lot, and the tour route was very nicely selected. Our biggest highlight though was definitely our guide Jessica. She explained everything thoroughly, always open to all of our questions (both related to the Summer Palace or just about Beijing and China in general!), and putting the context of the history of the summer palace into that of the rest of Beijing's history with the other historic sights! She really made the private tour 100% worth it. We really appreciated her patience and friendliness. She also gave us a lot of helpful tips for the rest of our trip, and overall helped us make our trip a very memorable experience!

Allen was well organised and his English was impeccable. The private van was very comfortable. We had the 4 hr tour and managed to hit all the landmarks of the tour, but you'll need the 6 hr tour if you want a boat ride of the lake. Allen provided basic insight and interesting history of the Summer Palace. Would still recommend if you want a dedicated Summer Palace tour with organised transport

The Great Wall is amazing. We enjoyed our time traversing the various towers of the Mutianyu Great Wall. We booked our trip with Klook, and our tour guide Michael made the experience easy for us. I highly recommend this activity if the Great Wall is part of your itinerary.
