Things to do in Beppu

It was a smooth, relaxed and enjoyable day trip! Our guide, Lina is nice, friendly, patient, attentive and gives clear instructions in English and Mandarin guiding us throughout the trip and also recommends places to go for food around Hakata Station. Enjoy the day tour at Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine, Beppu ropeway, Kirin lake, Yufuin Floral Village is nice and charming. It has nice shops like Studio Ghibli, Snoopy, Miffy and many more. Recommend 👍. The whole rides to and fro is comfortable and pleasant too!

Our tour guide, Pandora, was very helpful and made a difference in our day trip. She recommended what to do at each stop and also shared some factoids on each location. She also made a decision to add a rest stop when there was a bad jam back to Fukuoka, which was a godsend as many of us needed the toilet. The overall experience was very good. Highly recommended.

I had an amazing experience at Yufuin! I wish I had more time to walk around at the onsen, but I still managed to take some great photos. The mountain scenery was breathtaking, and the village itself was visually stunning. The highlight of my trip was the train ride back to Hakata station. If you’re in the Kyushu area, especially Fukuoka, I highly recommend visiting Yufuin.

Guide 'Jjujju's' trilingual skills (Korean, Japanese, Chinese) are truly at a perfect native speaker level. This was the first overseas trip for my high school classmates who have turned 40. We still had some childlike innocence left, so we booked the tour because we really wanted to go to the safari. The atmosphere of the serene Yufuin, which was the first course, was so nice, and the safari, which was the next course, was more enchanting than expected, and the last hot spring course was perfect. The explanation and guidance throughout the tour were perfect, with nothing missing. The driver also felt like a veteran. We had such a good time that we regretted the time passing, and it was a tour that I would definitely recommend to others. Next time, I will definitely come back with my family (especially with my parents, it would be the best for a filial piety trip). I think we also met good people on the tour, and since we were a group of Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and English speakers, we were assigned two guides, both of whom were really the best. In particular, our Korean guide, 'Jjujju,' worked so hard and was so grateful for taking care of us immature people. It was my first Fukuoka trip, and I am grateful for making good memories. Participating in this trip with a 50% discount was extremely cost-effective! The itinerary, from 8:00 AM to the arrival at Hakata Station at 6:30 PM, allowed for a full day of enjoyment. The itinerary and transportation arrangements were very smooth! The 3-hour tour of Yufuin provided ample time to admire the autumn foliage and sample delicious food. In Beppu, in addition to a short visit to the hot springs, there was enough time to soak our feet in the hot springs and taste hot spring eggs, which was a great experience. The only slight drawback was the short amount of time at the final stop, Dazaifu, and the fact that it was almost dusk, with many shops preparing to close. There wasn't enough time to visit the garden with its rich Japanese atmosphere and long history, which was a bit of a pity!

Our tour guide/driver was Yusuke. he was an awaresome guide. 1st stop Beppu Kamado Jigoku. Its famous for the amazing hot springs (onsens). 2hr drive from Fukuoka in the Kyushu Oita Prefecture. Such a beautiful area and finding out more about the hot springs. Next stop was Mamedamachi Shopping street lots of food stalls, restaurants and local stalls. Definitely enjoyed eating way too much food at the different stalls. Last stop was visiting the Sapporo beer factory in the (Kyushu hita). It was good unfortunately no free beer but did enjoy buying a beer and enjoying the view. Great tour. Next door to the beer is the Attack on the Titan museum. The different colored hot springs provided a very wonderful experience. I observed the bubbling hot gray mud, a red lake, and beautiful blue hot springs. It was a dazzling sight to see many different colored hot springs. It can be a bit crowded, but I bought a few souvenirs, especially the Umi Jigoku face mask, and local Oita delicious pudding and sweets.

Great value for the price, and more fun than expected. There were almost no lines for any of the games and attractions, making it perfect for older elementary and middle school students. I highly recommend spending the better part of a day to fully enjoy everything (there are plenty of vending machines inside with reasonably priced refreshments, making it easy to re-energize). There's a ninja puzzle house (very fun!), VR experiences, driving experiences, roller coasters of varying intensity, and a zipline experience available for an additional fee. The zipline for two people is only ¥4200, and it's incredibly thrilling and worth it! Highly recommended!
