[Fukuoka Departure] Dazaifu, Yufuin, & Beppu Kamado Hell

Itinerary: Nyoirin-ji Temple -> Kyushu Natural Animal Park -> Yufuin The frog decorations at Nyoirin-ji Temple are very unique, and they were also holding a wind chime festival, which was an extra highlight. However, there are a ton of mosquitoes here in the summer! Nyoirin-ji Temple is located in a rather remote area, so I probably wouldn't have come here if I wasn't on a day trip 🤣 The highlight of Kyushu Natural Animal Park is definitely the Jungle Bus. Unfortunately, the tour guide said that Jungle Bus tickets are very difficult to get, and they were already sold out early that day (we arrived around 11 am). Luckily, the tour guide took us into the natural ecological park in a tour bus, so we were still able to see the wild animals up close (although we couldn't feed them ourselves). However, the time allotted was a bit short. After getting off the tour bus, I only had time to feed the ponies and stand in line to hold the guinea pigs. I didn't have time to visit the other areas. Yufuin was more free-form, and the tour guide gave us a map and let us explore on our own. We ended up having lunch at a Japanese restaurant, where the fried chicken tempura was surprisingly delicious! However, we didn't arrive in Yufuin until almost 2 pm. If you get hungry easily, I recommend eating a hearty breakfast, or even buying some rice balls or sandwiches to eat on the bus.

The itinerary was packed but not rushed, with plenty of time to explore each stop. My favorite part was definitely the zoo visit. The tour guide provided detailed explanations, and we could enjoy the scenery from the air-conditioned vehicle. It suddenly started raining heavily at Lake Kinrin as we were preparing to return, which highlighted the tour guide's attentiveness even more. He held an umbrella to pick up other tour members without umbrellas and escort them onto the bus. Absolutely fantastic!

It's nice to just ride and not have to transfer yourself. We didn't get on the feeding bus, but the feeding bus doesn't have air conditioning. I think it's better to see the animals with air conditioning, and you don't smell the animal poop. If you have a large group, it's a good idea to buy a day trip package, the whole row of seats is almost chartered. When we took the bus that day, one group took up 9 seats. We were worried about travel embarrassment that day, so we didn't tell the guide. The return time for the itinerary is around 6:30, which is okay. The meeting time in the morning is very early, and we got up very early that day, so we were a little tired the next day and overslept. Luckily, we were on a free trip, and we could freely change the days we didn't buy a package for.

The guide and driver were very dedicated to explaining everything. Especially during the drive through the zoo, they deliberately slowed down to allow everyone to take pictures. The overall trip was very relaxing. Highly recommended for those who want to travel at a slower pace.

This exceeded my expectations by far! Seeing lions, giraffes, zebras, camels, and so many other animals up close, and even getting to hand-feed them, was super exciting and fun! There's also a small animal interaction area where kids can pet kangaroos and see monkeys, making it perfect for families with children. The entire park is well-planned, not too crowded, and the flow is smooth. The tour guide was also very friendly. If you're traveling to Kyushu, this tour is definitely worth including in your itinerary. Both adults and children can have a great time, making it a perfect trip that combines education and entertainment!

This Kyushu Zoo tour was fantastic! The tour guide was excellent, and the itinerary was well-designed. We saw everything we wanted to see, which was great. I really enjoyed this tour and would definitely participate again!

Daizafu cancelled due to golden week. Was informed upon meeting tour guide. So so only, not really worth it. Our tour guide is just ok.

The meeting point was really hard to find this time, and many people went to the wrong place. Luckily, everyone arrived by the meeting time. Our tour leader, Xiao Liu, was very kind and patiently waited for everyone to arrive. He also gave a friendly introduction to the attractions. We had a great time on this trip. Next time, I'll definitely book with Klook; their itineraries are excellent, and their tour guides and leaders are all top-notch!
