Things to do in Beppu

totally worth the day trip. I highly suggest booking this if you want to experience the yufuin no mori train since it’s hard to get tickets. our tour guide Nicole was very organized and explained the history of each location well. her recommendations were also a must try

It rained during our travel so we didnt get to see much view at the top of Beppu Ropeway. Yufuin floral village is good but I we enjoyed the food more around the area. We did not get to go to Mt.Aso creater due to high level alert but we get to see one side/part of it. Still a good tour for you to try when you are in Fukuoka!

This day trip was really fun, and the entire itinerary was very well arranged! 😊 The first stop was Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell). The scenery was truly stunning, and seeing it in person was even more breathtaking than in the photos. Everywhere was great for taking pictures, and I easily got so many gorgeous shots! The second stop was the zoo, which turned out to be quite a pleasant surprise! Besides lions, tigers, giraffes, and camels, there were quite a few animals that are usually rarely seen. Some of them were even new to me, which felt very fresh and exciting. The animals were also very cute, and I had a great time watching them! Finally, we went to Yufuin. It is a really lively place with many unique little shops and all kinds of snacks. You can walk and eat along the way while slowly soaking in the atmosphere of a small Japanese town—so much fun! Additionally, I really have to give a special shout-out to our tour guide, Jimmy Ryu-san! He was enthusiastic, friendly, and attentive. He explained the whole itinerary very clearly, reminding us in advance about meeting times, boarding locations, and where the restrooms were, which gave us great peace of mind. Along the way, he also shared interesting stories about life in Japan, making it feel like chatting with a friend so we were never bored! All in all, this was truly a very pleasant trip with great sights, excellent arrangements, and a very dedicated tour guide. If I have the chance again next time, I will definitely join! Highly recommended with five stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Visiting the 7 Hells is definitely worth it. No guide is needed. Each hell has its own unique characteristic. You can collect stamps at each of the Hells, and best of all, you can enjoy a foot bath in several of them. It's worth dedicating a full day (about 6 hours). I started with the two more remote ones, then took a lunch break (Jigoku meguri is a typical dish), and then finished the other five, which are close to each other. Incredible!

Interesting and awesome plves visited. the tour guide Ryu is so informative and always watching over everyone. so nice of him to share discounts too from shops. A Must booked tour for everyone who is interested with famous places and be informed.

We spotted tour guide Nana's flag first thing in the morning. She was sweet and extremely dedicated, and she didn't waste any time talking when it was time for us to rest and catch up on sleep! Her Mandarin and English were both fluent, so there were zero communication barriers. Since I easily get motion sick, I had added a note requesting a front-seat before joining the tour, and they saved a seat for me. The scenery along the entire way was truly gorgeous, and everywhere we went had a wonderful, comfortable energy. Because we joined the Takachiho Gorge boating activity, our schedule required precise timing. As soon as we arrived at Takachiho Gorge, Nana gave instructions on the meeting time and place for those not boating, and then rushed forward with the nine of us who were participating in the boating activity! It turns out that boating time is limited, and failing to return within the designated time results in extra fees charged by the boat rental shop! The boats are not the easiest to steer, but it is a lot of fun. I highly recommend trying it out if you aren't traveling with very young children or elderly family members—since you're already there, you might as well! I highly recommend this tour and am very grateful to our guide, Nana, for giving us such a wonderful day! By the way, the mango shaved ice has very poor value for the money, so skip it! The soft-serve ice cream should be worth a try, though!

I am glad the tour guide assigned in our trip was Daisy. She was the same guide we had last year in our Mt. Aso tour. As before, she was very nice, insightful, and helpful. She provided relevant information and information and concern to the tour participants. We had ample time to explore Beppu m.

The pacing of this tour is just right for me. Ample time per destination. I was initially worried we would be rushed at Yufuin Village but for me I was able to really roam around. Our tourguide is Nicole Yang and she was fluent in both English & Mandarin. Easy to understand and very helpful + friendly.

Our tour guide Ryou was the best! My friend and I mistakenly booked the Chinese tour and we're the only non-Chinese speakers in the group, but Ryou was kind enough to translate everything to us in English. She explained each site/area very well and provided clear instructions. She was very accommodating and enthusiatic the entire time. The tour went smoothly and we had enough time to explore each area, and we even got back to Hakata station earlier than expected. Overall, we enjoyed our experience.
