Things to do in Byodo-in

Today we had the pleasure of having Ms. Yurika as our guide, and the experience was truly wonderful from start to finish. From the moment we boarded the bus, she provided clear and engaging explanations about the history of the places we visited. Throughout the day, Ms. Yurika demonstrated outstanding professionalism, kindness, and dedication. She remained attentive to the group at all times, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and well-informed. Her detailed explanations of the customs and traditions of each temple made the experience even more meaningful and enriching. She was always willing to help and made sure all our needs were met, which made us feel truly cared for. Thanks to her enthusiasm and knowledge, the tour was not only informative but also very enjoyable. My family and I had an amazing time, and this experience will remain unforgettable for us. Huahua was the absolute best tour guide! After two other tours had canceled on us because of the typhoon we were lucky to have been able to book this tour. It was actually a blessing because this was one of the best tours we’ve been on! HuaHua was an excellent tour guide and made sure we knew details and history about every stop we made. He even let us to know where we could get the best matcha in Uji! The tour included Uji , Byodo , Kiffune Shrine , and Katsuo-ji Temple. We were able to go to every stop with an ample amount of time to roam around and shop! Thank you to HuaHua and his beautiful singing voice for giving us the best tour in Osaka!

The tour experience is nice. Our tour guide CC introduced the background of attractions and Japanese history on the touring bus in a fun and comprehensive way, so we got to have much free time to explore attractions by ourselves. In addition, she also recommended some great and affordable restaurants to avoid tourist traps. Although going three attractions in a day is a bit tight to view deeply in the attractions, it’s worth for beginner travelers to enjoy the sights and vibes. Moreover, having a designated touring bus saved us lots of energy, husstle and time moving among attractions.

Absolutely loved this tour! Such a fun and well-organised day exploring Nara, Uji and Kyoto. Our guide, Lee, was friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole experience so enjoyable. Our guide was Lully. She was like an gurdian angel who took good care of us by sharing the history & culture and showed us all the beautiful places patiently and gladly. Our driver was fantastic too! We truly had a wonderful time and appreciated the tour very much! Wouldn’t be able to see so much pleasantly on our own. Even my 19 year-old daughter who is not fond with tours said this one was great!

This was my first trip to Japan and my first time booking a one-day tour. Klook's Osaka Katsuo-ji Temple, Uji, and Fushimi Inari Shrine day tour did not disappoint. The entire trip went smoothly and even finished earlier than expected, which gave us more time to plan other activities afterward. It wasn't because the allocated time was insufficient; rather, we were fortunate that there was no traffic or congestion on a Saturday. Our tour guide managed the time perfectly. Our Chinese-speaking guide, Ms. Zhou Qian, took great care of everyone throughout the tour. At the end of the trip, she even bought postcards for everyone out of her own pocket. The driver was also very kind, always smiling, and drove very well, allowing us to comfortably nap and recharge in the car. Katsuo-ji Temple in the morning was truly wonderful; the weather wasn't hot, and there weren't many people, making it perfect for photos. Around noon, we went to Uji for a meal, enjoyed some matcha, matcha ice cream, and snacks, and took a leisurely stroll. In the afternoon, we visited Fushimi Inari Shrine to eat, drink, take photos, worship, and draw fortunes. The whole day was unhurried and not tiring at all—highly recommended!

Today's tour guide, Sarah, was very enthusiastic and communicated excellently in English. She proactively guided us when we were unfamiliar with the route, and any questions we had were answered immediately. She was a reliable and reassuring presence.
