Things to do in Love River

The tour is nice and the guide was giving a lot of information. However, this one should be highlighted that it is in Chinese ONLY. I can understand some part of the introduction but the experience would have been nicer if I know that this is in Chinese only, no English. I would remember to check all the earlier review before booking a tour now.

It was my first time on the boat, and the captain was very attentive and sang well, but unfortunately, it rained that day! A bit of a shame! The experience was great; it was my first time cruising the Love River! Enjoying the scenery while listening to songs! The coach was very nice, gentle, and thoughtful, even lending me an umbrella when it rained!

River tracing was an absolutely incredible experience! The scenery was breathtaking and the route was perfectly planned. ​A huge thank you to the team for being so professional and organized. The guides were super friendly and incredibly kind—they made us feel safe, kept the energy high, and even took amazing photos for us. ​If you’re in Taiwan, you have to book with these guys. Highly recommended!

I'd like to clarify the schedule for other travelers, as the official website and brochure aren't very detailed. The 10:40 AM departure arrives at Hongmaogang at 11:20 AM. If you plan to have lunch at the revolving restaurant, you'll need to call ahead for a reservation. You can book for 11:30 AM, which also helps you avoid the hot sun. For the return trip, you need to gather at the Hongmaogang waiting room by 1:40 PM, and the return departure time is 1:50 PM. Most importantly, you will arrive back at the original departure point at 2:30 PM after a 40-minute boat ride (not 1:50 PM).

This was my first time experiencing the Kim Ha Vietnamese hair wash, and overall, I was extremely satisfied. The salon environment was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and polite. From the moment I was greeted to the end of the service, I felt completely relaxed. The hair wash included a head, neck, and shoulder massage, performed with professional technique and just the right amount of pressure, which really relieved the fatigue and stress from my daily work. Every step of the process was done with great care, showing their dedication and professionalism. After the wash, my scalp felt refreshed, and my neck and shoulders were much more relaxed; I felt completely rejuvenated. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to relax and unwind, and I will definitely be returning!

Super comfortable! My boyfriend and I came from Taichung and suddenly really wanted a massage. I searched online for recommended massage places, found this one with great reviews and promotions, and absolutely loved it. My masseuse was incredibly skilled; every touch was spot on. Knowing I hadn't been sleeping well, she focused extra on my head. After the massage, I felt completely refreshed. Next time I'm in Kaohsiung, I'll definitely be back!

It was washed very thoroughly, and the massage bed provided a very comfortable back massage. I blow-dried my own hair, and there were complimentary hair care products on the table. For an additional $100, a dedicated staff member can blow-dry your hair for you. Both options, whether drying it yourself or paying the extra $100, are very convenient. Advanced reservations by phone are required, and you must inform them that you will be using a voucher. Since I was bringing my mom along this time for a relaxing massage, we were able to add extra services during the phone call, making it convenient for them to schedule the time and therapist. My mother has had experiences where she felt worse after a massage due to excessive pressure, but after trying it together this time, she happily said, "I feel so wonderful after the massage! It wasn't painful at all and was very relaxing." Unlike my mother, I have a muscular build. The therapist who gave me the shiatsu massage had strong hands and great technique, really helping to relieve the tension in my shoulders, neck, and upper back fascia. Although using a voucher doesn't allow you to choose a specific therapist, as long as you communicate your needs and preferences on-site, there isn't a body they can't help relax.

This was my first time trying a Korean sauna (hanjeungmak), and the place was very spacious, even offering private rooms for relaxation. I had a great experience, and they even provided a dessert afterward to replenish my energy. I had originally wanted to go again before my return trip, but since I don't have a local phone number, I could only rely on the app to contact them. Unfortunately, I didn't receive a reply until three days after I left, which was a bit disappointing.
